Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BulgariaUnfortunately, during my stay, I encountered some challenges outside the hotel's control. Firstly, there was a strike on May 6th, which affected transportation options in the area. Additionally, the closest metro line, Line A, was closed until 5:00 pm, further limiting accessibility to the city center. While I understand these issues were beyond the hotel's influence, it did impact my overall experience. Furthermore, the room was incredibly small
The breakfast provided by the hotel was delightful, offering a variety of options to start the day. Additionally, the staff members were exceptionally friendly and accommodating throughout my stay, which contributed to a pleasant overall atmosphere

CroatiaNot much really. The breakfast hall is small so maybe you can expect to wait a bit at 9AM if the hotel is booked, but this is nitpicking.
The hotel is an old repurposed villa, near the Arco di Travertino metro station. Well maintained exterior. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The bed is not too soft, which I commonly find to be the case in hotels, and of a decent size (for a 1.85 m tall person). The breakfast was varied and good. Nice coffee as well. Pleasant and helpful staff.

GermanyThe hotel has a price/performance ratio that is hard to beat. Of course, compared to significantly more expensive hotels, you have to compromise on the size of the breakfast buffet and the amenities. In return you get a cheap room in a small, more familiar hotel with very friendly staff. The metro station right next to the hotel takes you to the center of Rome in 10-15 minutes.

LatviaThe shower door had broken hinges/wheels so needed some wiggling around to get them closed. Noise isolation is not perfect, so if you stay facing the street, you'll probably hear cars and people on it.
Great price for Rome, very clean, super close to the Metro station, so getting to the city centre was super easy. The room we had was facing the parking lot/street, so we had a separate entrance, which was nice. Free parking behind gates, so very safe. The staff was super friendly. Breakfast included order made coffee from a very smiling and polite barista and oven baked croissants. Room was spacious for Rome and had everything we needed., but some refurbishment wouldn't hurt as it's a bit dated. P.s. Just a heads up - water in the minifridge is not complimentary, but only cost us 1EUR per bottle.

CanadaThe room was simple. Bed was very comfortable. Location is a not near central Rome. But the metro (subway) is a 2 minute walk. From there you can get to anywhere. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Not in a touristy area of Rome so meal prices were reasonable.

FranceThe room we were in needed some renewal. I pulled the nightstand to switch my phone charger and found out that the tapisserie was falling apart. The shower needed to be changed, shower head was covered in limestone and the glassdoor was broken. We had the impression everything was quite old. Complimentary breakfast was simply horrible. The buffet was minuscule, but products were all from the supermarket, including bakeries. I'd prefer to have to pay breakfast and have a nice one than to have the illusion I will get breakfast and than have to get out and pay a real one.
Nice hotel. Next to the metro A (2 min walk), comfortable, with free parking if you come by car, and pet friendly. Beware, these are not common facilities to find in Rome, moreover for this price tag. The room was big and clean, we were assigned to one in the garden as we were travelling with our little yorkie. Bed was comfortable, sheets were clean, and we had really anything we needed. Every room has AC.

TurkeyThe hotel doesn’t have a restaurant area, there is a little spot with 4 tables on the groud floor which is not enough for all of the guests and we had to wait for other guests to complete their breakfasts which is not pleasent at all. The hotel is close to the metro station but the last train to the hotel is at 9 pm.
The staff was helpful and the building was peaceful with a huge and lovely garden. There is a big free parking lot inside the garden if you are traveling by your own car. The room was big enough for a family with a kid.
