Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThis is a bed and breakfast in the truest sense of the word. We were greeted warmly with coffee and sweets. The room was comfortable and immaculately clean. We chose to pay extra for the addition of dinner, lovingly prepared and served by the host. Everything fresh and locally sourced. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an authentic local experience in the company of one of the loveliest people you will meet during your travels in Sicilia. Breakfast was above and beyond anything you can imagine. We will be back.

GermanyIf you want to see a slice of the real Sicily, this is the place to be. You don't meet such warm and hospitable people very often. Great breakfast with local produce and lovely coffee or cappuccino. I advise you to order dinner cooked by the host himself, a professional chef. It's delicious. Homemade wine from the barrel, dessert and much more.

United StatesI have nothing negative to say about B&B L'Angelica.
The owner was enthusiastic and hospitable. Every time he saw me he offered me coffee and cookies. Also they offered for an additional charge a traditional family style Italian dinner. All of the guests who chose to ate together at a huge table. It was a delightful, friendly experience the food was incredible, coffee, wine and liquor were included. The price was very reasonable. The room and bed were very comfy. The location is excellent only a few steps from the Piazza Trigona and the Cathedral

United StatesThree reasons to visit Italy; the people, the food and the wine! This had all three. The owners were warm and friendly offering coffee and homemade sweets upon our arrival. A little difficult to find parking but when called they quickly arrived to help us. We had booked dinner for our stay and it was amazing, not only delicious and plentiful but made with love. Truly incredible.

Well on all our travels throughout Sicily over 1 month this accommodation was the best. The hosts were magnificent and were exceptionally helpful in every respect. On arrival some beautiful home made cake and biscuits, and cappucino. The owner came and helped me park closer to the accommodation which was perfect for us. The dinner that was cooked for us was AMAZING! Make sure you stay here and have the meal. Breakfast was out of this world and we were so happy to have stayed here. You don't get this hospitality everywhere let me tell you. Do yourself a favour and stay here. I highly recommend and you will have the authentic Sicilian experience with the lovely owners. Magnifico and thank you so much again for your incredible hospitality. - The Australians!

CanadaAs all of the other reviewers have noted, this is a wonderfully warm and comfortable place to stay. The proprietors go out of their way to help. (In our case, getting us a parking spot right by our room.) The quality and quantity of the food at breakfast is astonishing. We particularly enjoyed the cheeses, cookies and homemade jams, but there was an extraordinary array of food. We also had dinner at the B & B one night, and the host prepared several courses of delicious traditional dishes. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and nicely furnished.

United StatesGPS didn't quite get us there the simplest way, but we figured it out. Small car works best. Parking is around the corner from B&B.
We loved the view of the church tower from our window, the large newly renovated bathroom, our large room and the beautiful Venetian glass lighting in it. And to top it off, the owner turns out to be a great chef! Take the opportunity to have a great 5 course dinner, prepared by the owner (25 euros, including wine). We had a very enjoyable evening and were so glad we stayed there!

RomaniaWhen you set off as a tourist you think you have planned all but questions remain: how do I get to the historical site? This is where real help, kindness, humanity comes in.We found all this at Signor Etore and his wife Ines. In the evening we had the surprise of a dinner prepared by him, a passionate Chef and a distinguished company of other tourists. To make the atmosphere even more pleasant the host invited a French speaking friend, signor Luciano.Using italian, english and french languages we are all delighted not omly with the convesation but also with all the special dishes . In the morning we gathred again around the beautifully arranged table, listening to the music of different languages. Etore helped us also to find a taxi for our next destination.Villa Romana dei Casale and Signor Etore are always worth revisiting. We recommend with all confidence.Grazie mille Etore e Ines
