Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThe room was quite small and could have been a little more comfortable, the walls are quite thin so you can hear other guests.
Friendly accommodation in an exceptional position in the heart of Trento, close to the train station. Exceptional breakfast and warm welcome from host.

United KingdomGetting in is a bit fiddly, but that's a feature of the building rather than the B&B itself. Have your phone at the ready. Press the "B&B" button on the brass plate on the exterior wall. This unlocks the door off the street. Locate the lift in the alcove about half way down the hall on the right. (Unfortunately the entrance hall is in darkness). Go up to the third floor and turn right out of the lift. The door at the end has a blue illuminated keypad low down. You need to ask the B&B for the code to open this door, which leads outside. The door to the B&B is straight ahead and is not locked. Easy when you know how!
Very convenient location in the centre. Excellent breakfast - the lady of the house bakes her own very nice bread.

SloveniaFor car travelers: Trento it is not very comfortable in terms of parking fee around the old town. It is not possible to buy parking ticket in the evening for the day after. Better park in a garage if you do not want to wake up early and run to the ticket machine, before the local police fines you. Also, luckily the landlady warned me about the thursday market. On thursday morning cars are towed away from certain streets. You can get it back agaist a hefty fine.
Excellent. I am especially thankful to the landlady who made possible for me to have a short, but urgent online meeting after check out time. Appreciated!

United KingdomNothing really but if i had to pick something the shower in the bath could have been better.
Wonderful location which is very central to the old town and near the station. Spacious apartment and good sized room. Our hostess was exceptional with great advice on what to do and also providing a good vegetarian breakfast. Great all round.

GermanyHard to find the B&B, no direct contact or welcoming but instead phone call needs to be done, very hot room because no air conditioning, quite worn room (toilet flush did not work well - you had to remove the lid in order to flush properly, water rinse in shower was slow, used half full amenities in the room), key for main entrance was not working well and should be fixed, went early and can not rate the breakfast.

United KingdomNot the best communication of how to get there. It took a while for me to find the place as there was no sign, no instructions of how to enter the building, and once inside the main building off the street, very little indication of where the B&B actually is. As soon as I found it, up 3 flights of stairs, the owner appeared, and promptly went downstairs, back outside to a different place 50m down the street. Would've definitely been better to just meet at the place I was staying.
It's a great location, couldn't be better really. Nice room, very comfy bed. I'd book again. The owner is lovely.

JapanBroken shower head holder, empty shower gel bottle, several ants in the bathroom and room, not nearly enough ventilation (one small fan, no ac in the room) with close to 30 C outside, twisted an ankle trying to pull a door closed considering how it was getting stuck. Too pricy considering all the above.
Location and decent breakfast

United KingdomShower is very small and I am not a big or tall person.
Had the same breakfast everyday. The place is very well located. Walking distance from train station. It is in the Duomo and everything else. There is the lounge area which one can sit and relax. The terrace is nice too but as it rain and was cloudy when I was there I didn't use it. It would be nice in the summer.
