VERY VERY LOUD as it is located right next to the highway and the windows are not glazed, it was cery hard to get some sleep.

The place is easy to find, 10 min walk from center, parking in front of the building. Great communication with clear details on how to self check in. Clean and spacious room, bed was comfy.

Platamone Rooms is my favourite place to stay in Catania when I fly home the next day. Location is perfect: - very close to the station Catania Centrale, the bus station, and Alibus (going to the airport) - very close to a trustworthy luggage room (where we can safely leave your luggage when we have a flight in the afternoon or the evening) The room we usually book is spacious and has a balcony with a view of the sea. You can make coffee or tea even in the middle of the night in a kitchenette in a common area. Convenient check-in as the owner sends you a code and information on how to collect a key. Remember to bring earplugs - some rooms are quiet but the room facing the sea overlooks a busy road.

The appartment is on main bulevard and this makes it noisy because of the traffic. This is the deal for a great location.

Easy self check-in. Spacious room with kitchen amenities available. Hostess was really nice & helpfull, let us store our luggage until it was time to leave.

Air conditioner is not working properly, it is not cooling, so it was a nightmare due to no sleep because of hot weather.

The AC seemed a bit old and didn't really work. The pipes make a lot of noise when you turn the water on and the stairs may be a challenge for some people.

The location is great and the room was tidy and quite large. There was also a shared fridge for food and drinks which we appreciated. There's a busy street right by the hotel but you can't really hear the sound of the traffic in the room. The balcony is handy for drying clothes/towels.

The accommodation is right next to a main street. So it's noisy.

The owner is wonderful. She gave me some good tips where I can eat. Check in was easy and fast. The location was great. Not to far from the airport and the City center. You can walk everywhere. I had a big bathroom. There is a balcony and a kitchen.

Sound proofing windows would be better. Not for People who sensitive with sound. But for me I can sleep, ok for 1 night. Small bed as expected not comfortable. Better book a French bed.

Everything was great. The host sent us the instructions on how to check in, as we arrived pretty late. The place is just a few minutes away from the main train station and the main bus terminal. A lot of places to eat just a block or two away, and 10 minutes walk from the center.

The property was very close to public transport which is what we were looking for when booking in Catania and was great value for money as the room was very pleasant and clean. The staff were helpful and the communal area was very nice. If you are travelling with heavy suitcases be wary as there are a lot of stairs.

My room was on the corner and it was noise because of the cars on the main road, even at night. if you have sleeping problems check with the host the room you want to choose.

Nice & comfortable room with a bathroom. Everything was clean. Nice view (trees and the sea) from the room and the balcony. Comfortable bed. Ear plugs are provided as the room faces one of main streets. Easy self check-in. Location very close to the train station and to the Airbus going to the airport.

On-street parking in front of the place was reasonably easy (October). Walking distance to the city center. Croissants and coffee for breakfast.

The thing is this location is near the train and bus station(we had an early flight and that s why we choose this location) so there s a lot of activity until late at night. We also took a wrong Street and ended up in a bad neigbourhood so use maps/waze if you walk back.

The room and bath where very clean, we had a very good communication with how to acces the property, so no complains here also the price was unbeatable. The value price-quality was the best we could have. You also have access to a kitchen and I believe in the morning you can have a little breakfast, we left to early to see.

The location although close to the station, felt a bit unsafe at night. Although not a far walk, near the B&B there was not much around. Was also noisy at night.

Hospitality was great and lovely breakfast put on. It was only 10 minute walk from centre of town. Secure building.
