How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The floor was dirty!!! after 10 minutes of walking kids without sox, all of them had to wash their feet, and the toilet was broken. We were more than happy to pay more for a bit longer stay in the apartment because we traveled with 16 months baby and the baby had to sleep around 12:00 -14:00, we had a flight back at 8 PM but the owner told us to leave at 10:00 AM. For me, it is a downside and we do not come back there. So I do not recommend this apartment to families. The door from the bathroom needs maintenance, doors from the main bathroom need to be replaced, there was a hole in the door, and someone punched before. The owner is not a helpful person. Yes it was cheap, but we rent it because was near to the airport.

access by car is not great. there is an underground car park near by but bit of a hike to the apartment

Rooms condition was very poor. Smelled with cigarets, equimpment missing or non working (electric kettle). Kitchen eqipment incomplete, missing glasses and spoon / forks, insted in drawed we have found ... spatula for wall renovation. Barely can provide services for 2 persons. Bathroom toilet seat damaged, mold on the ceiling (inproper ventilation?). Apartment requires renovation IMHO. Not recommending apartemnt B1 at this location.
Location in strict center of Bergamo, very close to bus and train station, only few minutes with bus from airport. Balcony with quiet view.

Bathroom is in poor condition and needs to be renovated. There were not enough glasses for 4 people.
Good location, close to the railway station and the centre of the city. Gino was a very helpful and flexible contact.

Very good localisation, easy to find. I stayed with my parents in apartment c3 for few days and everything was great! We found everything we needed, contact with owner was smooth. I'm very pleased and recommend this place to anyone.

There was no facilities in the apartments-no soap for hands, the cleaning staff forgot a crib, the bad wasn't comfortable, I felt the springs in the bed, they didn't make the second bed. and the A/C was working weird.
The location was great, 5 min walk from the train station. The building really nice, good kitchen and bathroom, good terrace Fast reaction from the host.

Close to everything that you need and only 15 mins from airport , great host too and kept in touch threw watsapp on where keys were and location of the appartment

Lack of hand soap and the balcony window lock was damaged, therefore we did not feel 100% safe

Apartment is 5 min walk from bus stop. We didn't see the owner, but they 've got us very clear instruction how to get to the apartment including a short movie and intercom code. Very helpful guys, they even asking to message if everything is ok.There is close to everything, Flat is well equipment, spacious. Very recommended to stay in Bergamo

There was no coffee machine, not even the hot water kettle. The TV too. The dishes were scarce and very old.
The location is very good. The apartment is spacious. There is also a terrace. We arrived earlier, but the apartment was cleaned and we settled. The relationship with the owner was perfect.

The toilet seat was out of its place. It should be more clean the apartment in general (not the main bedroom that was ok).

Kitchen was dirty and the furnitures were literary falling apart. There were no kitchen utensils such as a big knife to cut the bread, wine opener etc.
