The room was very small though efficient. It was difficult for 2 people to move around without bumping into one another.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was great, nice and quiet. The shower had great views after pressure and hot water. Nice breakfast, though only room for a few people at a time. Weather permitting, the terrace would have bee lovely to sit on.

There was nothing I did not like.

The room was a very nice size with a small balcony which we enjoyed. The mini fridge and teakettle was an asset. The room was spotless. We enjoyed the breakfast very much and loved the cappuccinos that they made for us every morning. The owners were absolutely wonderful and other staff very nice. We did not arrive within “check in hours” so we expected to handle that by ourselves. However a staff person did decide to wait for us (2 hours or so) and let us into our room. It was very much appreciated after traveling all day. Communication with us was very good concerning the weather.

There were no negative sides.

The location was superb, near the church square, shops and restaurants but also just at the beginning of walks to both Corniglia and Riomaggiore, a real bonus. The apartment was perfect, a very comfortable bed and a wonderful balcony overlooking the church square and the hills with the sound of the rushing river to lull you to sleep. Breakfast was lovely with lovely cappuccinos every morning.

The stairs were steep to get up to our room.

We stayed in the triple room which was large and quiet. There was another room up the stairs which had another bed and kitchen facilities. We had a beautiful deck off the kitchen looking out over the tops of buildings. We also had a clothes line hanging off the deck so it was perfect for washing and drying clothes.

Having to wait until 8:00 for coffee. A single serve & few pods in the apartment would have been great.

Very clean, quiet & comfortable. However, to get far from the crowds & to the quiet one must climb uphill. It’s true of the entire town. Innkeepers were lovely & the terrace is beautiful.

Bathroom was small and shower was tiny. Considering the age of the building I don't think this could have been avoided.

The view from 36A was spectacular. Room was large and comfortable and the small terrace was perfect.

The steep steep up hill walk 15 minutes from the ocean to the top of our hotel. It will take your breath away.

The hotel was nice for Manorola standards. However you have to climb a very, very steep hill and I mean steep. We had issues with the WiFi but they quickly brought the router. Can’t complain about anything.

The uphill walk and the many steps going up to the room. It was a long tiring trek on a hot summer day. Especially when carrying heavy luggage.

I enjoyed breakfast. It has a very comfy and homey atmosphere. The ocean view from our window was beautiful. The morning was quiet. Room and bathroom were clean. Air conditioner was strong.

We liked everything about our stay.

Staff was great!! Very good breakfast with excellent coffee (thank you!). Great views. Spacious room and as described. Cold water in the fridge every day was a nice touch considering the heat! Yes, as others have mentioned it is a walk up the path but with research we knew what we were getting into. So worth it. Packed lightly and are in descent shape so wasn’t a problem. Can’t wait to return.

I did not like the beds. They were very small for my size and my legs were hanging out (I am 1.85 height). Overall we had 2 small twin beds in the room.

The view from our room was excellent as the hotel is located at the upper part of the village and you could see below the whole village.

Not much we didn’t like. It’s not the easiest to get to up a hill but good exercise after all the pizza and pasta!

We loved Cinque Terre; however, half way through our honeymoon we received some sad news about my mother in law passing away. The staff at Da Baranin were so helpful and kind. Our stay was comfortable and the breakfast was tasty. We would highly recommend this place to anybody.

Location, but that is everywhere in Cinque Terre I think unless you are right next to the train station. It is a HIKE to get to the hotel.
