Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TurkeyThe only negative part I remember is: We bought bottles of wine (of their own production) to take with us from the Dimora, Amarone was really expensive but we wanted to buy anyway. Then on the same day when we were touring in Lazise, as a matter of luck, in a wine shop we saw that the same wine from the same year was sold a lot cheaper (50€ vs 35€).
The location, the room, the breakfast, the staff were all very good. We had a tour of their cantina and wine tasting paired with dinner at their restaurant, it was an amazing experience.

United StatesWe didn't use it, but TV was very small and there was no remote to turn it on, wasn't even able to turn it on manually. May could have gotten a remote from the staff, we didn't ask. It's not a location that's close to anything you want to walk to outside the restaurant. Place I thought was pricey for one night.
Very nice country location close to the airport. I noticed that a few reviews mentioned that it could be difficult to find off the paved road, and one reviewer suggested putting the address of the restaurant, Locanda Buglioni Via Cariano, 24/A, 37029 San Pietro in Cariano VR, Italy, this is what I did and it took me right to the hotel. Follow the signs once you reach the gravel road, and it's very easy. Rooms were very nice, clean, and a comfortable size. Staff were friendly, made checking in late convenient for us. Breakfast was a typical European breakfast. You can get boiled eggs and meats, but mostly breads , sweat breakfast breads, fruits, and cereal. Their near by restaurant was great, a little pricey, but very good.

United StatesFinding the Dimora a little challenging the first time to find the property but a lovely location. Very pleasant reception, friendly informal style of hospitality with interesting benefit of learning about the wines associated with the property. Restaurant closed for wedding but looks very attractive. Good location for families and those with pets.

PolandIt's a pity that the "honesty bar" is per bottle and not per glass. Not everyone drinks so much, while the official tasting menu at the restaurant is already pricy. More shade for the cars would be helpful in the summer. A bit overwhelming multichannel communications from the management before and after the stay.
Great quality building, very stylish, comfortable and well air-conditioned. Good breakfast, especially for the Italian standards. Easy remote check-in. Helpful staff, caring for the comfort of the guests.

NetherlandsOnly fault I can think of is that the breakfast could have been bigger in choice, however still had enough options to satisfy everyone. In the end I think it's better to offer less and therefore have less leftovers rather than having huge breakfast and throwing away most of it.
Location was amazing, the old farmhouse turned into B&B was exquisitely refurbished, staff was great (both at the Dimora and Restaurant), lots of options of things to do in the area, I only wish I had spent more time.

United StatesThe breakfast is good but it's all sweet. You can order an egg from the staff, but there is no menu, so I ate an egg and then went to the buffet. Apart from that, we were really happy with the place. Thanks.
It's a winery with a hotel. Its location is in a Vineyard as you would expect and you're in some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. The staff was nice and the rooms are finished beautifully. They have a great set of kitchen facilities where you can buy wine, coffee, and other things. We grabbed a few bottles and enjoyed them on the veranda.
