Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicNothing.
Location. Tramway last station is 3 min.walk and you can reach the Train Station and Capitoline Hill by this tramway. The flat is clean and comfortable. Also there is a balcony, we had dinner there at night. The location is very quiet and calm. Easy to contact the staff. Breakfast is enough and desserts are delicious. They fill the refrigerator in your room every day. There is an air conditioner in the room.

UkraineJust an incredible place. The most helpful and courteous staff I have seen anywhere. The staff steps in and helps with any issue. It feels like you're not in a hotel, but you're visiting loved ones. The bus stop is 150 meters away, 20 minutes and you are in Venice Square. Nearby there are grocery stores and restaurants, you can eat in a more relaxed atmosphere. The room is great, very cozy, has everything you need for your trip. The breakfast is hearty and varied. I recommend this hotel.

GermanyQuite good rooms, spazious, with a nice balcony and very clean. Great service from the owner. Breakfast is also very delicious and plentiful. Not super close to the centre, but Bus 8 is right around the corner and comes very often.

It was out of the city. There was the number 8 bus at the end of the street that finished a street away from the trevi fountain.

IrelandI was visiting family and my newborn nephew so needed a nice location close to them. This was the best possible option for me, but also if I was to return for leisure, it’s proximity to the tram and FCO airport would make it an ideal property for any visitor.

PolandPerfect place to explore Rome. Housing clean hotel, modernly equipped, spacious, with a kitchen that you can use whenever you want to. Located in a residential area. Nearby there are shops, supermarkets, bakeries and a very good restaurant. It is a 40-minute walk to the Vatican or Trastevere. You don't have to worry about the car because thanks to the kindness of the owner it stood in a closed private parking lot. There is no ZTL zone next to the hotel. The hotel is easily accessible by car. The owner was very nice and helpful. We are delighted. Especially dad who could finally sit on the balcony.

DenmarkNothing. But since it is a bit outside the center of Rome you should know that the Team is needed to get there. But it is really easy and only 15 minutes to get there. And then you have the biggest park in Rome really close with a nice café. And prices in this area is cheaper than on the center
Perfect place. We were staying at Domus Casaletto my whole family. Even if we came really late check in was made with a smile. There is a quit big balcony to stay if the weather is good. The kitchen is clean and breakfast is good.

Czech RepublicI dont really consider this as usual breakfast. It was more like a bunch of snacks that you could have taken before you went outsider, we havent used it at all. It would also be nice to have your own fridge, because sometimes you dont want to share fridge with other people.
I really like the location of the place. It is very quiet and it feels safe. The room was really clean and it looked really nice. Even tho we havent met the host, she seemed really helpful and nice through the messages. She answered everything.

BelgiumThis B&B is very clean and well managed. The owner is very gentle and helpful. The location is very well connected to Piazza Venezia (the center of Rome) via tramway N8. It takes 20 minutes to reach the center independently from traffic. The place is comfortable, breakfast is abundant, and the daily price is very reasonable. Therefore it is convenient for tourists even though it is not located in the center. Alessandro

United KingdomWe found the location to be a bit of a nightmare. The property is very close to the tram 8 line but it was not running throughout the duration of our stay. The tram service was replaced with a bus service but the buses were unreliable and often didn’t show up and the property is nowhere near the metro.
The property is very clean and comfortable. The host is very friendly, made us feel very welcome and helped us with how to get bus tickets for travelling into the centre of Rome.
