Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenParking spaces a bit limited, bed could have been more modern and better. Noise from main road, although understandable with a balcony facing the lake, meant that balcony door needed to be shut at night
Welll placed within easy reach of the town centre. Excellent view from the balcony over the lake. Good with the air conditioning, Calm atmosphere in the hotel, staff helpful.

United KingdomThe breakfasts were a bit limited in choice, but not really a problem
The location of the hotel overlooking Lake Garda is wonderful - we had a room with a balcony overlooking the lake, which was great for relaxing and watching the sunsets. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking in the grounds of the hotel. Many restaurants within easy walking distance. Torre is a nice small town, not too touristy compared to others on the lake.

BelgiumWe were three people and the breakfast tables were set up for two, we therefore had to move the dishes and food already in place on one to another to be able to sit together. One person of the staff didn’t took it well and made us an angry comment about that. Not the kind of words that feels good in the early morning. Except for that, the rest was perfect.
The view from the room and balconies was perfect! The owner was flexible concerning our stay (we had to make a change after the booking, three people instead of two) and the breakfasts were really good, a lot of different choices (egg, ham, jam, cereals, bread, yogurt, cheese, fruits, biscuits,…)

IndiaThere is no resturant facilily in the hotel except break fast and drinks. So you need to walk 800 m to have food every time.
Position of the hotel is good, only 170 mtr away from nearest bus stop Torri Canevini A. Lake view from the room balcony is very nice. Room with Lake view is recomended.

Italy- I found it weird that the owner held onto our IDs and kept them in a pigeon hole in reception, which is largely unmanned, so anyone could have walked in and taken them. I was worried for the 4 days we stayed that they would be gone when we checked out. Also a bit inconvenient if you need to prove your identity or age when you're out. - I was duped by the Booking.com listing for this room. It includes pictures of the balcony and bedroom facing onto the lake, but ours was on the side of the building, and the lake could be viewed only on the balcony and by looking to the right. Greater transparency is needed for the room you are booking to manage expectations. - The owner's insistence on locking everything up at mezzanotte (midnight) is advertised in reception, but no key is provided unless you know in advance you are going to be late (by channeling your future predicting vibes I guess). This seems very bizarre and inconvenient to us. Plus we got home at 11.30pm the one night to find it already locked up! Called the owner in a panic and luckily he answered and told me on Mondays it gets locked up earlier. How on earth were we to know that?! He told me he's tired. OK cool, well we're locked out and a huge thunderstorm is about to rage over head, can we come in? Made sure for our last night we were home before 11pm. Very odd. - Please can the owner tell people that the air conditioner works only if all doors and windows are closed? It's the first time we've known of something sensor-based like this for AC and we could barely sleep the first night it was so muggy. Turns out, the cleaner had left the window in the bathroom open, which is why it didn't work. On the 2nd day, everything was closed up, so we had no problems. But the 3rd night the cleaner had left the bathroom window open again and no AC. So my husband was sent to find out from the owner what's up, which is when we were told about this and it was life changing.
Location is good. We were given a room that wasn't cleaned, which was a bit of a shock. Told the owner, who had a bit of a rant about the help, but then told us to take keys for another room, which was in a much better state.

United KingdomWe had an issue with breakfast. When we arrived for breakfast the elderly owner looked puzzled and asked if we had booked breakfast which I confirmed we had and showed him the Booking.Com confirmation which clearly stated inclusive of breakfast. Not at the price you are paying for the room was his response and stated that breakfast would be extra at 12 Euros per day. For that price what was served up was totally underwhelming I would have been disappointed in the choice available even it had been included.
A small family run hotel, comfortable enough and the location of it is excellent, being within easy walking distance of the town and directly opposite the lake though on what is quite a busy road. It was clean and it may depend on your perspective but for me it is looking well past it's best and could do with some modernisation. There is onsite car parking but when the hotel is busy I imagine it may be difficult to find a space.

SloveniaOur room had a poor lake view, poor amenities, no fridge, small shower, small balcony for only two small chairs and without a table. If you get room nr. 18 change it. It was very difficult to communicate with the staff in English, during the day there was no-one in the reception, we hardly find the owner to make a check out. For breakfast there was one and a half bun, one slice of cheese, 3 slices of salami and one egg per person.
Great location, there is just a street between the hotel and the lake.

LithuaniaNo hot water during entire stay, rear view although almost all of the rooms have windows to beautiful Garda lake. We are a newly weds, got separate small beds and one towel set. The host did not care much about the complaints (showering in cold water is not fun if you are not used to it). Overall, do not recommend. Price for such service was way way too big.
Good location. Nothing else to mention.

BrazilReception is closed after midnight. You cannot easily enter in the hotel after 00:00… we had to take the key from the hotel so we could get inside again. We also helped other guests to come inside after late in the evening, as they were locked out
Our room had a perfect view from the lake, good AC, amenities in the bathroom… location and breakfast were also perfect!
