Air conditioning was not on which made room hot and mosquitoes were bothersome with windows open

GREAT location….especially for short stay. Walked easily to hotel from train station and then the next morning from the hotel to Piazzale Roma for transport. Just off Grand Canal and surprisingly quiet. Staff were terrific and a very nice breakfast included. Highly recommend!

Reception at the hotel was great and the staff was really helpful. Room was a bit smaller than expected but with AC working and extremely clean. Overall the stay was great and the location is really good, bit outside the really touristic area but most attractions are easily accessible by foot

A little noisy from the bars on the Saturday night.

Great location near the train and bus station. Perfect for the ferries around Venice as well. Lovely big room with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was a cold buffet but with a good variety of food. The staff were helpful and friendly with 24hr reception which worked well for our 4am checkout.

Most of the breakfast options were sweet.

Beautifully decorated hotel diagonally opposite Santa Lucia station. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the canal. They also provide a buffet breakfast, luggage storage, and a comfortable lounge room for guests who have checked out.

It's a little far away from San Marco square, where is the main touristic area, but walking through Venice is an unique experience, so it was not an issue at all.

Very close to the train station. Very convinient for those who are arriving and leaving the city by train. Very close to the buses for Marco Polo airport and very close to the boat stop. Many restaurants and supermarkets around. Very friendly and helpful staff. We were checked in before the check-in time and still got an upgrade. Very beautiful hotel. It seems that it was recently renovated. Big and confortable room. Tasty breakfast. Just perfect.

The fact that air con not available when we arrived and was needed. Unfortunately weather then went cooler so not important. Breakfast not a good experience as only available until 10.00 and when we went down at 9.45 waitress kept looking at her watch which made us uncomfortable. Made sure we were down earlier the next day !!

I thought the location was very good. The breakfast in the walled garden was a real treat. A very nice breakfast too 😋 The decor in the hotel was very tastefully done. All in all, a most enjoyable one night stopover. I would highly recommend.

The Gardena is a very charming hotel on a small canal , very close to the Piazzale Roma, the station and the taxis It's in a less touristy area than the area around St Marks and the walking around near the hotel is lovely The hotel has a pretty courtyard garden which we enjoyed

The aircondition is solar powered and wasn't switched on yet. But that weekend it was really to hot to sleep without.

It was an excellent stay, exceeded my expectations. Really close to the boat transfers. Lovely room. Friendly staff. Really good hotel. Good breakfast.

If one minor point, although we very much loved our stay: the bathroom was a bit small and a bit outdated but…. All good and clean, which is most important

Great location, not entirely in the “island” center but perfect walking distance and bringing you by some other, more quite streets & views before hitting the crowds. Really nice! Good breakfast options, comfortable rooms and no street noise. And then the staff… SO nice and attentive. And that is not even doing it justice… Lorenzo went above and beyond for us. My mom arrived from Belgium, myself from Portugal (I live abroad) and we were supposed to meet in Venice airport to then go together to the hotel. My flight got very badly delayed, so my mom would arrive alone, around 23hrs at the airport. Due to the delay, I only arrived at 2am. Lorenzo did EVERYTHING to make sure my mom was picked up by taxi and walked to the doorsteps of the hotel, making sure she was safe and not alone in the middle of the night in Venice or airport. I cannot thank him enough for helping me with that… I will be back here!

AC did not work and when we opened windows wr had so many mosquitoes, we had to close windows and then it was very stuffy and warm
