The friendliness of the host. Breakfast was nice and very good. The batch was brand new. We were the only guests. Most accomodations would cancel the reservation as they had to heat the room and the corridors just for us.

There were a few flights of stairs between our bathroom and our room, but can't complain about this since we were in the Dolomites for hiking :)

Friendly and knowledgeable owners, great views from the accommodation, and good value for the area. We had to leave too early for breakfast so we didn't get to sit in to eat, but they were kind enough to leave out some food for us to take.

The bathroom being downstairs is a little inconvenient.

We enjoyed our stay at Garni al Barance. Our host Moreno was a great character who got around the language barrier with lots of humour. Moreno was helpful in showing us everything and was attentive throughout our stay. The room was small but warm. It had storage cupboards, a sink, and a nice little balcony with a view. Breakfast was lovely, served in the cosy dining room. The place is located in a quaint village not too far driving from the beautiful Passo Giau. There is a small supermarket in the town for essentials.

The bed was squeaky, so if I got up in the middle of the night I was worried I would disturb neighboring guests.

The hotel is small and very cute. The staff were so nice. It was very clean, and well situated, a short walk from town, which was nice since this made it a bit quieter.

Overall, I was happy with everything.

The pension is located in a nice little town. There is restaurant, grocery store, all within easy walking distance. It is next to a main road, but noise is minimal. Easy access, motorbike parking, covered parking for two bikes. Staff (owners) are friendly, breakfast is good. The room is clean, the bed comfortable.

We were hiking from Nuvolau the night before and didn't realize how far down the mountain we'd have to come-- but if you're driving it would be a great location
