How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Shower in triple room is broken and you can’t close the shower completely. We stayed 2 nights, but we did not receive extra toiletries( shampoo and shower gel) after first use. Location is far by walking, all good restaurants are far away. Parking is only for 3 cars, however, the street parking is free.
Swimming pool is great and well maintained. Spacious room, air conditioning works very well. Breakfast is ok, however, nothing special. Complimentary water in the fridge.

Area outside of property not as nice. About 2km to city centre.
Lovely pool and garden area. Rooms a little bit dated but clean and comfortable. Basic breakfast.

Bicycles available and nice pool. Great hostess and good sleep on good beds. And airco convenient at hottest days of the year with 43 degrees

A bit too far from the city center which is a problem when it is too hot.
Very nice villa and the lady was very helpful. The kids liked the swimming pool.

We are light sleepers so we did hear the traffic from the road, but we still got sleep. Put the earplugs in.
Our room was huge. It was in a great location to walk or cycle into Lecce. Zsofi our host was wonderful. Bright and bubbly. Very attentive explaining all about where to go and what to do. She helped us with our parking too. We parked safely in the gated grounds. It was easy as we were the only ones there. Would be tight when everyone's there if they all had a car. Zsofi made us up a lovely breakfast in the morning, and many thanks for the use of the umbrella. It was needed.

Really helpful staff and perfect with the possibility to use bikes to cycle to town. We enjoyed the bikes for sightseeing :)

2km outside of beautiful Lecce. No problem because we travel with bicycles. Good parking.
Very comfortable room and nice patio and pool area. Great breakfast for Italian standards. Swift communication.

The only downside has nothing to do with the accommodation itself, which I couldn't fault. But the location is a good 25 minute walk into Lecce town centre so probably not for you if you're looking to stay more central. (Though I did know this before booking from previous reviews so no complaints there)
The pool was great, on the small side but perfect as it was never really busy & there were plenty of sun loungers. The breakfast was basic but nice & got the job done, the host Zsofi was extremely friendly & helpful.

I wish we had spent more time in Lecce, the city is beautiful.
The accommodation is a great place to start your trip into the city of Lecce and the Salento region. It offers a cozy ambience, very hospitable owners and amenities as free bicycles to explore the vicinity. The poolside is a great pleasure to commence into the day.

The bathroom was a bit small (in our room) and low water pressure in the shower cabine.
Clean room, fantastic swimming pool, very nice breakfast. Owner and staff are very friendly and helpfull. Free bikes available.

Very cozy and clean place. Quiet area close to the city center. Parking spot available. Excellent breakfast. Zsofi zwas great! Very nice and always happy to help, giving us tips for restaurants and touristic highlights. Thanks, Zsofi! We will come back for sure.

The bed was a bit soft and the fridge in the room was making some noise, so we set if off for the night.
The owner of the B&B, Szofi is a lovely lady and is sharing many tips and recommendations on what to do and where to eat in the area. You can rent bikes for free and it’s only a 5 minute biketrip to the city center of Lecce. The breakfast is very nice and also served by Szofi. The room we booked was basic, but the pictures truly reflect the room and it’s good value for money!
