Transport as no ability to get to other restaurants

We came by bus to the nearest town then a 40 euro taxi fee to get there and the same cost for our 3 other trips.It should be made clear that this hotel is a long way from anywhere and you should have a car or the hotel should have better and cheaper transportation for those of us who don’t drive and rely on public transportation.

The breakfast was a bit underwhelming

The rooms are a little dated and jaded and could do with renovating but that is no simple task and with such lovely grounds, pool and surrounding area, you shouldn't be spending too much time in the room!

Luxury stay in a traditional Trulli complex. The pool and bar area was so relaxing that we could have stayed longer and served as a great break while travelling the area. At night, the place is lit up so romantically and creates such a nice atmosphere. A little piece of heaven

This property is rated 5 star and I don’t want to take anything away from it but a few things need to be looked at. The mattress was hard and the pillows felt like stone. Very uncomfortable to sleep on. We stayed 4 nights and the linen on our bed was not changed once. The TV in the room is minuscule for such a big room. The shower is in the bathtub and it was a challenge getting in and out of it, I would hate to think how an elderly person could possibly use it. We had coffee and tea making facilities but the Coffee, tea and sugar were not replenished daily and you had to ask for them. When we asked we only got 2 sugars and 2 coffee sachets just the minimum . This happened every day. The same in the bathroom, the staff did not replenished what was used. At breakfast the staff did not clear the plates or cups at any time, so we noticed they piled up on our table as well as other people’s table and were cleared only once they left. I don’t understand why that was done but looked very messy and we felt uncomfortable getting up to get something else

The property is absolutely stunning and kept immaculate. It was even more beautiful lit up at night. The swimming pool area was also beautiful and relaxing. The reception staff were exceptional. The room we stayed in was spacious. Breakfast was plentiful and catered for all tastes

The breakfast was excellent. The property is beautifully maintained and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Dinner was superb. The integration of the trulli buildings with the rest of the plant is very well done and contributes to an unusual, but regional appropriate facility. A delight place in a beautiful region of Italy.

An excellent boutique hotel, totally harmonized with the surroundings and local architecture. The gardens were magnificent, an ideal surrounding. The dining in the outdoor restaurant was a pleasure. Very fries. My stuff. I will definitely come back!

The room was very warm despite the air-conditioning system being set up to a low temperature and a good flow at all times. The WiFi network was very poor in almost all areas except for the restaurant. All facilities were spotlessly clean but I would have expected a bit more from a 5 star hotel. For instance, the small fridge could have been filled with a wider selection of free drinks. More toiletries products should be added and maintenance in some bathrooms could be improved (towel rails loose and shower phone holders of poor quality). The pool bar hours should be extended at least until 21:00 and a better selection of refreshments and snacks should be made complementary for all suites. The parking gate should be automatically open when coming back also (maybe adding an automated plate recognition system for guests only?). The breakfast wasn't always fresh (some pastry and cakes were slightly off) and more variety of local products should be offered. Also, SPA facilities should be free of charge for guests or limited free access should be granted (with the exclusion of extra treatments). Mattresses and pillows should be more comfortable.

Placed in the Apulian countryside but very close to the seaside too (25 minutes), Il palmento offers the perfect location for family and couples holidays. The surrounding area is beautiful, the gardens are immersed in olive trees and the pool patio area is wonderful. The Trulli-shaped rooms are comfortable and equipped with the essentials. Great covered parking area with PV panels on top, makes it ecosustainable and keeps it cool at all times. Great SPA facilities. The restaurant was excellent, breakfast locally produced ricotta cheese, eggs, tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese were extremely appreciated. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, punctual restaurant service.
