Absolutely stunning place. Can definitely believe why they are so fully booked! Gian & Chiara were SUPER helpful and lovely, even helping to book restaurants for us. Would love to visit again!

Unique and enchanting, this property has both history and comfort to offer guests. A lot of steps but the owners help with luggage and can give instructions/reservation for great car park option with shuttle just outside of Vernazza.

The views are amazing and the rooms are light and airy. You are only steps away from the harbor. Gian is a fantastic host. He provided guidance on the very best hikes in Cinque Terre. Enjoy the wine.

The owners were very helpful every step of the way - from meeting us at the station to help with baggage to arranging for a private vineyard tour and tasting. The room was very spacious and comfortable, and the patio had a stunning view of the sea.

The steps …they give you a workout, but it is a really worth it.

The location is absolutely beautiful, with access to the Cinque Terra area. We had the best view overlooking the ocean. There was a large patio area where you can sit and watch the ferries and local fishing boats and have a glass of your favourite beverage. The bed was super comfortable. Our host Gian, met us at the Vernazza train station and helped us with our luggage and showed us the way to the accommodation.

Very charming place, the terrasse overlooking the sea has a breathtaking view of the sea and great place to see the sunset. Room was very clean and we had a nice view of the castle, a glimpse of the sea and the village ! The owner Gian Is such a nice man, he came to meet us at the train station to help with the bags and show us the way to the property, Vernassa is a bit of a maze of stairs and tiny alleys so we we happy to have him guide us :-) He also helped us with restaurant reservations and made us feel right at home We will definitely come back !

The property was quiet, super clean and is such a beautiful place to stay. Gina and Chiara are so welcoming and they help you with your bags getting them to and from the property. They will also help you with parking reservations. Vernazza is absolutely gorgeous and the locals are extremely kind. I will definitely book this property for future visits.

Gian was the best host! He met us at the train station, helped with our bags, and lead us to the property. The room was incredible and overall, it was the best property we’ve ever stayed at. You can’t beat the ocean view!!

A beautiful, clean and well appointed affiitercamere with a lovely terrace and fine sea views. Gian met me at the station and carried my bag while guiding me to La Mala. He was very pleasant and provided lots of information and advice about Vernazza and it's surrounds and was on call in the event of any further assistance.

spectacular location with access to a phenomenal (shared) large veranda - absolutely stunning decor, very comfortable and charming...beautiful bathroom, lovely coffee service, stunning view....very comfortable bedding, air con is king after a long day hiking or swimming!!! Grateful to Gian & Chiara for opening their ancestral home to the world!

It would be nice if there was breakfast options offered, but with only four rooms here I can understand why it probably doesn't make sense to offer it.

The room was wonderful and the staff was extremely helpful! They let us drop off our bags early which was great, and they were so quick to communicate and answer any questions we had. The location is incredible and so were the views! We would definitely stay here again if we came back.

The hike up all the stairs could be a negative for some. But that quickly became part of the fun. We got better at making the climb faster. And we burned off lots of pasta and bread!

I had been told so many wonderful things about La Mala, I was afraid I might be disappointed. Nope! It was even better! First, we must thank Gian for meeting us and helping with our bags and guiding us to La Mala. Room 31 was just amazing with its bright, white, fresh decor! But opening the windows to look out at the sea...was just the best! Our housekeeper, did such a nice job refreshing our room also. Must give her an extra thanks! The location to the harbor and all the magical walkways and views... the castle and hikes above Vernazza... I could go on and on. But best of all was coming back and sleeping with the window open to hear the waves against the rocks below!

Great Staff that are extremely helpful and welcoming 🤩 all issues were solved quickly. Got short guided tour through city at arrival, help with luggage and all information needed. Great people og very nice location. Beautiful porch/ with vie of lemon trees and the ocean!

The pillows were a little uncomfortable, but no big deal.
