How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

wished we could have stayed longer
everything was simply superb. the nicest, most gracious host was simply a delight; would love to stay and just hang out with her and hear her stories. Absolutely the most peaceful, gorgeous setting with great views of the valley and surrounding hills. a great restaurant just up the road. the apartment has housekeeping facilities so one night barbecued a steak with a great Montepulciano Noble wine. We canceled an excursion to Florence and just enjoyed Tuscany another day it was so beautiful and delightful. cannot recommend it more highly

The kitchen is not really equipped or very comfortable to use. But still, good value for money

Agroturismo La Manonera has a very special and beautiful location, I enjoyed sunrises and sunsets with a view on mountains. I had a nice apartment with kitchen, so I could prepare my own breakfast or dinner. The owner is a nice lady with kind heart, very authentic and gives a real feeling of being in Italy. loved it!!

it is a bit in an isolated location. so it can be a little difficult to find if you arrive at night.
it is located 15min away from Montepulciano. we entered in to the small beautiful road with trees on the sides. the villas were charming with beautiful nature. Liliana greeted us warmly and she was welcoming! the rooms were not fancy but had everything we needed and comfortable. even the kitchen was great so we can make something simple. we had the pool to ourselves. it was managed clean. we saw the cleaning happening in the morning. we enjoyed the two night stays there. it was great especially considering the value. we hope to come back with family!

It was not a very big problem, but maybe an air-con in the upstairs bedroom would make the stay a lot more enjoyable in the summer months
We got a little house/apartment to ourselves which came with a kitchen with all the basic stuff. The bedroom and the bathroom were upstairs: clean and fresh. The host was excellent: really friendly (she rescued a dog-mama from a dog breeding place and the doggo follows her everywhere), super welcoming, and can give you very good recommendations for wine tasting and restaurants. She produces her own olive oil which was amazing, and also some vintage wine which we bought to bring home as gifts.

Everything was excellent. Amazing location in the countryside near Montepulciano, a wonderful host, rooms are nicely decorated with some antiqe furniture, very quite, swimming pool and a nice dog and good wifi.

Everything was excellent
This historic country villa was converted into spacious apartments. The facility and location are beautiful and only a 10 minute drive to Montepulciano via a blacktop road, SP 146, that passes through St. Albino, (avoid the unsurfaced nearby road that Google Maps may lead you over)

The accomodation itself was a little bit dated/ dingy.
The location was very scenic; gorgeous countryside. Pool was very nice too.

1. due to the italian style of locking the doors we blocked ourself out. We had to breack a window (owners idea) to get inside because THEY DINDT HAD A SPARE KEY!!!! and the most beautiful part was that we had to pay for it! Not even half the demage (owner fault for the spare key)! ENTIRE AMOUNT! 2 - the towels had a terrible cigarete smell 3 - lots of mosquitos - be prepaired
The villa is on a top of a hill surrounded by trees. I even saw a deer around the pool area. Very nice and quite location. The owenr was a very nice 70's lady.
