Slightly noisy at night coming from the corridors due to lack of sound insulation. The owner is renovating the property and I am sure this will be attended to later.

New ownership and we experienced a warm, welcoming and service-minded staff. When we checked out we got a bottle of Prosecco from the owner. The owner is very positive and friendly. We felt very valued and taken care of.

Small points - a few things could’ve done with an upgrade and it would be good to have some tap water as an option at breakfast. The cleaning products have a very strong smell, but much prefer that to non-cleanliness ;)

Very friendly, clean, relaxed atmosphere and fab location. Family room was ideal also for bigger kids (bunk bed).

We were very impressed by the staff hospitality. The hotel is just a short stroll from the funicular railway which provides quick accesa to Como. The views from Brunate are absolutely stunning.

1) The room was so cold during the night with thin blankets on the bed and heater did not work properly (we were there in march, don’t forget long clothes for bed time when you go there not in the summertime). 2) Also It‘s on a hill so kinda difficult without car to get there and also with a car the roads are so tight and curvy driving up that hill. 3) Breakfast is very minimal (you get one Croissant with spread&jam, a small piece of Pie and juice and coffee)

Regarding the hotel, everything was GOOD! But if you decide to buy the tickets for the funiculaire in the bar adjacent to the cabin station in Brunate, I recommend NOT to order any food in the bar because prices are higher than in Piazza San Marco in Venice!!!

the owner is very kind, polite and ready to assist in any issue. the position was excellent, in a few steps you can find naturalistic roads with wonderful sightseeings, or you can reach the funiculaire and reach the center of Como in few minutes. The room was comfortable and very silent.

If the stay in Como involved a lot of movement within Como town and the surrounding towns along the lake, then Locanda may be inconvenient having to be plan around the funicular operating times. As it was autumn, the funicular stopped operations at 10pm rather than 12pm.

Our stay was interrupted by news of a workers' strike at the Funicular Como-Brunate which caused us to leave the hotel at 7.30am before the said strike was to start. The strike was called off the last minute.

Always a pity to get breakfast items and toiletries in small plastic pots and sachets which is not good for our earth as they are creating too much waste. Impossible to open shampoo sachets..without scissors which I do not travel with. Toilet paper and hand soap had run out in downstairs women's toilet

Reaching hotel has only 2 options : Coming with a Taxi or a Funicoler ( which was a bit chaotic to get a ticket ( the cost & the que ) but for those, Taxi fares is ok, then maybe convenient. The first room was a bit too tiny, and the bathroom was a bit unclean. But we talked with the owner & he gave us a very clean room with a clean bathroom, even with a tiny terrace !

The Personal & especially the owner were very friendly & helpful& Respectfull. They have a Restaurant and a Bar in Hotel, which serves good food& drinks. On arrival, guests gets even a welcoming beverage 🍷!

Road up to hotel very steep with very tight bends on heavily laiden motorcycle.

Nice location, just a short 150M walk to the funicular railway station 🚉 down into Como. Secure parking on Hotel premises for motorcycles.
