Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaRoom smelled a little dusty/musky. There is no washing machine allocated for guests to wash their clothes and if you ask to use the owner's they charge quite the premium!
Beautiful property and wonderful staff. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay, including helping us to organise some emergency dental work that I required during my stay. The dentist they recommended to me was absolutely phenomenal and it really saved my trip from turning into a nightmare.

We had the most extraordinary experience at Masseria Faraone. From the moment we arrived, I was captivated by the sheer beauty of this enchanting retreat. The centuries-old farmhouse, lovingly restored to its former glory, exudes rustic charm and elegance. Maria and her three doggo's welcomed us with genuine warmth and hospitality, making our feel like a cherished guest from the outset. The Trulli was a masterpiece of comfort and unique Puglia style, with every detail carefully curated to provide a true sense of tranquility. The combination of antique furnishings and modern amenities created an atmosphere of timeless luxury. But what truly sets Masseria Faraone apart is its breathtaking surroundings. Nestled rometely among the Puglian landscape of olive groves, but, close enough to Locorotondo, Martina Franca and Alberobello. We spent our days lounging by the pristine pool, running/walking or biking to Locorotondo (our favourite town in Puglia) and driving to nearby towns such as Alberobello and Ostuni to test the incredible restaurant recommendations provided by Maria. The attention to detail in every aspect of my stay was unparalleled, from the impeccable provided breakfast to the thoughtful recommendations for exploring the region. Masseria Faraone is not just a b&b; it's a destination that embodies the essence of southern Italy and culture We left with a heavy heart, knowing that we had experienced something truly magical. Masseria Faraone is a hidden gem, and I can't wait to return to this oasis of serenity and indulgence. If you're looking for an unforgettable escape, we would recommend this Masseria a million times over. Enjoy your stay.

United KingdomWe stay at Maria's for our friends wedding and absolutely loved it there, it was a great base. Although, we wish we stayed longer. The rooms were beautiful -so spacious and comfortable. Maria made us feel so welcome, the breakfast was exceptional - fresh and different choices everyday! Best in Italy! We cannot wait to come back and stay with Maria. Massive thank you! :)

We loved everything about our stay at Masseria Faraone. The buildings and grounds were immaculate, and the room was quiet, clean and comfortable. It is centrally located between Locorotondo and Martina Franca and we also visited Ostuni. Maria was a wonderful host and prepared the most amazing breakfasts with fresh local produce and homemade preserves, cakes and pancakes. We really enjoyed the beautiful pool area. Highly recommended for a relaxing break.

Most perfect stay at Maria's Masseria. Seriously, this place met and exceeded our expectations. What an amazing way to experience Puglia! It was so peaceful and beautiful, we found it hard to leave each day. It was super central for exploring this part of Puglia. We were there about 3.5 days and managed to visit several towns, all within 10-35min including Martina Franca, Locorotondo, Monopoli, and Polignano a Mare, for either beach, going out, dinner or exploring. Loved them all.. super charming towns. The grounds are lovely, and the lovely owners, dogs that live at the property, and the pool just adds to its magic. Breakfast is literally anything you could want and more out of breakfast. It was fresh, tons of options, and freshly made things daily. Every day Maria had a new dish or cake or breakfast item she had offered in addition to the whole spread. Honestly was one of the best parts of our stay. We ate so well at breakfast that we skipped a real lunch most days. If you're looking for an authentic experience, a serene setting, a convenient location (for exploring with a car), top notch hospitality, tranquility and beauty, don't hesitate!

CanadaMaria our host, was exceptional. Every morning we would enter the main dining room for breakfast. We had three couples socially distanced for the breakfast. The setting within a trulli was amazing. There was an abundance of food for breakfast, eggs served as requested, specialities of the region, cured meats, fruits, regional cheeses, coffee, juices and baked goodies that Maria made. She was interacting with guest and was very friendly. Centrally located to locations Locorotondo, Martina Franca, Ostuni, Cisterninno, Alberobello and other points of interest Great wifi A number of friendly pets in the compound dogs and cats Beautiful salt swimming pool - unfortunately we were no able to use given our city tours. My spouse and I were at her location for 4 days. Overall a great experience

United KingdomThe curtain in the lounge area could be a bit more private as sometimes even with it fully closed one could still slightly see into the lounge (which is between the bedroom and the bathroom), but this wasn't an issue for us
We had a great stay at this family run hotel. Very easy check-in process. The room had air conditioning that worked very well, but it wasn't always needed as the room is naturally a good temperature. The property has a lot of dogs and cats, but they keep the bedding very clean in the room as I am highly allergic but I was totally fine here. The breakfast is amazing - we stayed at 4 different hotels in Puglia and this breakfast was in a different league. Freshly made juice, eggs to your liking, fresh pancakes on a few of the days, and lots more! Very clean bedding and towels, with more than enough towels. We will definitely be back!

NetherlandsEverything was perfect. If we have to name 1 thing, a (natural) sunroof above the car parking would make it completely perfect so the cars don’t get so hot.
We expected one queen room for the tree of us but it was almost a complete home. Very well restored trulli home with old details and quiet property with an amazing pool. You have all around view over the fields. Breakfast is the best we ever had. Even glutenfree and lactose Free cake was baked for us. Maria and het family are so welcoming. Our daughter loved all the dogs and cats. You have a beautiful view on Locorotondo at night which is only 5 minute drive away. Also close to Alberobello (trulli town, altough very touristic. We preferred Locorotondo for its atmosphere and restaurants).
