Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomFood prices expensive in hotel. Do not stay here if wanting to be located in central Rome but for us this was perfect as happy navigating public transport.
Staff were very nice and approachable. Very helpful with providing us with information and map of Rome. Rooms were very clean. Located 15 min metro outside of the city and 5 min walk from local metro. Lots of great authentic restaurants located close by.

United KingdomBreakfast was ok, but unfortunately, one of the breakfast service staff was ill coughing all the time, which was a bit of put off.
Nicely decorated hotel, friendly and lovely staff, especially Taich and Danielle (apologies if wrong spelling), located in a good and quiet residential area, however, as long as you are happy to use public transport or taxis to travel to the centre (about 5 min walk to metro station St. Agnese, then 15 min on metro to main attractions). Metro's ticket cost £3.50 return per person. Conad and Carfour supermarkets are very close nearby.

DenmarkCleaning could have been better! 3 days out of 7 it was clearly rushed. The staff was mediocre and so was the restaurant. Wifi was slow and the options for watching English-speaking TV channels were very limited. Pay attention to the location! It's quite far from the city center / ancient Rome, and you'll end up spending a small fortune in transport unless public transport is your thing.
Overall the stay was fine. Nothing special or extraordinary - just fine. The outside terrace was cozy, and the room and bath were spacious and nice. I'm not disappointed with my stay at the hotel but also won't be back.

United KingdomThe room was very warm over night, felt like the heating was on. Had to sleep with the balcony door open as the air conditioning wasn't working.
The bed was very comfortable, room was clean and the bathroom was lovely and very stylish. Best shower I've experienced in any hotel I've been to! The restaurant had some lovely pizzas which we had on the first night. The staff were very helpful throughout our stay and were kind enough to help us perfect some Italian phrases. 100% would stay again!

United StatesBeing from America, we like to have food available mid day…I realize this is not a tradition in Italy, so the did not open during these hours, We did go near by off property and find some fabulous restaurants.
Andrea went out of his way to get us a great room! we will definitely be back. And the front desk manager (sorry I don’t know the name) she was fantastic!! They really went above and beyond to exceed our expectations in every way.

GermanyThe room was not clean. Overall it was ok, but I found a cigarette bud in a space between the sink and the counter and clothes tags in the armchair. Better attention to details are needed. Stairs at the main entrance were not good as well. Very narrow space to have a main entrance. If you are coming in or out with a big luggage there is no space for anyone else in the stairs.
The location was good for what I needed and considering the prices in Rome it was ok. Room was quite spacious with plenty of storage. The bathroom also had a lot of space to put products. Toiletries are from Nuxe, which was nice.

United KingdomThere was a fridge in our room and it made a really high-pitched, whining sound off and on at night, which disturbed us.
Location was excellent; a short walk to several wonderful cafes and bars and to the Metro station for a quick and easy journey into the centre of Rome.

LithuaniaDidn't like the mess on the balcony. Of course it's huge! However, the fact that the tiles are brown, the edges are overgrown with grass, and full of fallen leaves - did not leave a good impression. I always hope that everything that is rented, and even more so for a fairly decent price, will be in order. When I asked to clean the room, I thought that the balcony would be cleaned as well. However, this was not done before arrival or during the stay. Not satisfied, I pulled out the protruding grass myself and already wanted to buy a broom.
The room is beautiful, tidy. Breakfast is delicious, wide selection. The service staff is pleasant, quickly provides answers to all questions.

United KingdomReviews/table online suggested there was a pool and there was not. We has a room with balcony and hot tub. Hot tub when we turned on sent black pieces into the tub so had to get out. We didn’t report it until next day and told they have technicians on hand. Perhaps they could do we a deep clean of the inside ? Balcony area could have looked a little prettier, maybe with fairy lights? But just being picky.
Breakfast was fab, excellent Choice. Staff were super friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. Room was lovely and spacious and well decorated

PolandThe location is not in the centre- but there is a metro station within distance. There were some small things which could be improved and make the overall impression even better: for example there were 3 days raining in Rome and I would expect that there are umbreallas to borrow from the lobby- not to buy for 10 euros.
A nice, clean room with a balcony. It was quiet. Not walkable distance to the centre, but close to metro station

Romaniawe asked for separate duvets / comforters and we were met with resistance from the hotel staff. we were told that our request was unusual and in the end were given two plain blankets the room had too few (electrical) outlets and we struggled to charge our devices also, small issues with the room cleanliness, as we found a long dark hair on the bathroom floor upon arrival
Very nice and cosy boutique hotel situatied in a quieter part of Rome and 5 min walk from the metro station. The coffee and breakfast options were delicious, with fresh fruit and an abundance of cheese varieties. The room was confortable, we had a massive bed and excellent water pressure. The room was cleaned daily.
