    Pre arrival communication

Very charming room with great location in the city! Room was nice. Shower was wet narrow for me. Liked the room size and the bed was comfortable. My pre arrival communications were not productive. That is one area they could improve.

We had a bit of a problem with warm water availability in the washbasins and bathroom in the evenings. Though Ferdinando offered to help us and address the issue, because of the fact that each day we returned late, we did not find it too much of a bother.

Loved the place. Right next to Leonardo Da Vinci's old home. Ferdinando, the Manager is a great guy. Very friendly, helpful, helped us lug to large suitcases up the initial stairs and did the same for us while checking out too. Helped us with our special meal needs, guided us and overall made us feel at home. The location really cant be any better, in the heart of the town 3 mins walk from the Duomo and other important landmarks

It was a bit noisy through the night, but thats part of being close to everything and on a Piazza. The bed was a bit small if you are over 6 feet tall.

The location is excellent, as it is close to many of the places a visitor wants to get to. It was very roomy with a lovely bathroom attached.

Nothing to complain about, everything was as expected, if not better!

The staff were very friendly and provided me with so much information before I arrived to locate the hotel because it's in a restricted zone. i found this very easy to follow and could easily locate the place. The room was fantastic and very spacious and cleaned to a very high standard. The location is second to none, you are right in the middle of the city, just a stones throw to the cathedral.

    Nothing.

Generous staff who were warm and attentive. Gave us special accommodation. We switched hotels due to availability. The transfer was seamless. The location is perfect with easy access by taxi. The hotel is older with eclectic furnishings and a cozy breakfast room. There is free filtered water for the room and available at the lobby. Nice people made our final stay in Florence better. Easy walk to train station and other attractions. There is a great sculpture museum on the square.

    - Bed Mattress was curved in the middle which hurts the back. - No courtesy water bottles - since no iron and iron table in included for each room, you may have the iron and iron table in a designated place in the outside area and ask residents to bring back once done with.

    Cleanliness, size and location .

As a family of 5, the amount of hot water available was only enough for 1 person so we weren't able to shower more than 1 person before the water was freezing. We knew we needed to get washed very quickly but this was really challenging as it was cold outside as well, so a freezing shower was difficult. Lastly, the breakfast area was right outside our room and the preparations started very early and sounded loud in our room.

The location of the B&B Galileo 2000 is exceptional. Located on a piazza is a privilege when visiting Italy! Being able to look out over the piazza was amazing. We loved being able to step right out and be at any restaurant or shop we wanted in less than 5 min. It was easy to come and go, and we felt lucky to stay so close to everything. If all you need is a place to rest and get changed it is perfect.

The only negative comment that I have is in regards to the furniture. While everything was in working order and was clean, the furnishings were very “tired” and worn. It didn’t look anything like the pictures offered on Booking.com. It met our needs for a last minute booking for a discounted one night stay.

The B&B is in an excellent location!! So close to Uffizi and the Duomo. There was an electric hot water pot with water, coffee and tea, and mini fridge. We did not eat breakfast at Galileo, but the spread looked good. The room was clean and spacious, with a sitting room, separate bedroom, and the bed was comfy. The bathroom even had a washing machine you could use. Frederico, was friendly and very helpful, both when we checked in late that evening and in the morning, helping us with managing overnight parking and retrieval of our rental car from a garage they partner with. He kept our bags as we ran errands and called a taxi to take us to the train station. Extraordinary service!
