How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

shower power wasn’t great coming from the rain shower and the water took a while to heat up but didn’t effect us massively to make a complaint.
the location was more than handy with it being walking distance between all tourist attractions. couldn’t of asked for better staff, they helped wherever they could.

My stay was exceptional! Super comfortable and clean room, very friendly and attentive staff. The best location one could get in the city, steps away from everything. Will definitely come back if I get a chance to visit Rome.

There is a bar next door to the separate building which can be a bit noisy
We booked a room in the seperate building. The room was big/beautiful and the security was good. This building is surrounded by beautiful restaurants and cafes. Walking distance to every attraction you want to see.

The shower. The water temperature was very unstable and the water flow rate is quite poor.

the room can be a little bit noisy at night, but we were informed before, what was very gentle from the hotel. breakfast was not included and the price was very high, we had it in the coffee shop next door. there is no 24h check in, and you have to go to another hotel 1km away after 22h, which is not convenient. they gave us the option of a private driver from the airport which took the keys with him, for an extra cost of normal taxi.

The noise from the building bedsides our room...
Centrally located. Urban Bus is just few minutes walk. It's close to Piazzale Navona, The Pantheon & Trevi Fountian etc...

The only downside was the noise from a nearby bar which the hotel had warned us about. Personally I didn’t find it distracting.
Marco and the rest of the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and modern. Location is amazing.

Fantastic location - comfortable, modern room and spotlessly clean. Attentive and helpful staff - my son has dietary needs and they were very accommodating with supplying what he needed.

there was not much storage space but otherwise all was good

Our stay in the hotel was wonderful. It is at a great location, in the middle of the city, within walking distance of all major sites as well as the gems off the beaten track. The room was super comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful.

As the annex overlooked the street, there was a lot of noise in the evening. However we had been warned off this by email before we arrived, so brought earplugs and this was not a problem. If you are a light sleeper or go to bed early, pack earplugs and you won’t hear a thing.
We stayed in the annex building, and found the location to be perfect. It is so easy to access the major sights from the hotel - equidistant to the Colosseum, Vatican, and everything in between. Great restaurants and gelato were on our doorstep, and just downstairs you could grab a very affordable coffee to start the day. The room itself was very clean and comfortable, we slept very well.

The location of this hotel is PERFECT! It was under 20 minute walk from all the sights I wanted to see. I loved looking out of my window and watching the street below. The staff was so amazing and so helpful, making themselves available for any questions I had.

The beds could have been a little more comfy but other than that, everything was great. Highly recommend.
Great location. the staff were very accommodating. On arrival, Marco made us feel very welcome. He was an excellent host throughout the stay. He did everything he could to ensure we had a nice time. Nice decor too, decorated with busts of Roman Emporers.
