Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Australia1.Did not get the room we booked. We paid extra for a room with terrace and they gave us a room with balcony. Only after complaining, we got an upgrade but had to deal with a lot of attitude from the Director, he made us feel like we were complaining for the sake of it! 2.Hotel is only reachable by electric cars which need to be paid by you! Taxis cannot access the hotel and this is not disclosed on the website.
The hotel, views and the thermal pools are exceptional

United KingdomThere was zero information on check-in. Literally, here is breakfast, here is your room and that was it. There are many things which could very helpfully have been shared and would have saved us time in finding them out for ourselves. Finally the door keys and the keys to the access gate do not work properly. The staff (and apparently the management) is aware but nothing has been done leading to many guests having to take a long steep detour late at night to get into their rooms. Finally beware of the offer of electric car transport from below the bus/taxi stops. This service is not free/complimentary and you should check the cost which is per bag and per person
This hotel is in an exceptional location. The views are breathtaking and the hotel itself is clean, the thermal pools are lovely and the room we were in (442) (Double with sea view and balcony/terrace) was probably one of the best rooms Ive stayed in across the world in terms of luxury, view, comfort and size. Beware however as not all rooms are newly refurbished and will not all look like ours did. The hotel, like many in the area, is built into the side of the cliff. This means there are very steep stairs throughout the complex with the only alternative way of getting around being an electric car service which is expensive. However the steepness and the many steps are all part of the experience on the entire island so it is really to be expected. The breakfast was ok, nothing to rave about (except the view) but was certainly satisfactory. We had one evening meal at the hotel and it was very average in quality and ambiance but expensive in price. Beware of using the bottled water in the rooms which is over 5 euros for a small bottle (with no prices being shown). The staff are generally young and inexperienced but pleasant enough although not much help if things go wrong. the management of the hotel were never in evidence even after I asked to speak to them and this shows in how the staff behave. A big shout out to the main (I think) lifeguard who was doing an exceptional job making people's holidays fabulous. He didn't sit still all day but was constantly helping out, chatting and generally being a superb employee. Also praiseworthy was our housekeeper---she'd get anything fixed, changed, replaced or added to the room while keeping it sparkingly clean. Most of the staff speak some English. I speak some Italian but communication wasn't a problem and I saw no problems with it for other guests

United KingdomMore information could be provided by the hotel generally- eg meal times, local amenities, how to get to them, ( we were told go out the white gate)- there is at least 6 white gates! Was a bit of hassle to get our pre booked twin room made into twin room. Kettle in room would have been much appreciated as would options to have eg drinks bought to sunloungers. Pools also close quite early. Although hotel states that it would be difficult for those with mobility issues it should be noted the resort is spread over a wide and hilly area.Steep short walks in places. Also getting to the hotel was a long walk from bus stop with luggage and information about this and transfer arrangements could be clearer.
Beautiful part of coastline with fab views and lovely planting around the resort. Clean comfortable room, lovely bathroom , terrace with chairs to sit out on. Lots of pools and plenty of sunbeds. Good easy access to beach and beach taxi. Restaurant and snack bar serve good reasonably priced food. Local buses go frequently to all parts of island (steep walk to get to them though!).

United StatesNot transparent about the major hike to rooms. Do not stay here if you have any leg disability or injury. Also, to get there, you have to pay for luggage transport and take a boat that stops at the beach. No one tells you how to get there priorand why pay 16€ for a carryon to be transported…very bizarre. I would not stay here again. Food was good but sand was in my clams.
Great terme and views!

ItalyWe had hard time finding the hotel, no one really explained to us that Miramare and Apollon are practically the same and they are connected via buggy so we struggled walking around with our luggages up hills. Our room was away from the main building so we had to walk up hill, it’s a bit inconvenient… stairs and hills are the main characteristics of this hotel.
It’s a lovely and quiet place. We booked half board and the food was great, they changed the menu every night. Breakfast was ok, many choices of cakes, croissants, juices. The staff was really amazing, they were all really kind, gentle and helpful. The room was basic but clean and with a good sea view.. Good Wi-Fi everywhere.

United KingdomWe were on B&B tariffs. Chose to stay on site for most dinners as food was initially good and there was a fixed price for full menu (Euro 40 + drinks). A couple of days into our stay Menu went a-la-carte without warning, prices increased and portions decreased. Good for dieting!
Location was excellent. Beautiful gardens. Mega sea views. Great bedroom. Breakfast was good and the on-site bar offered limited but appetising lunches.

United KingdomThe walls were clearly quite thin as we could hear the neighbouring rooms as they closed cupboards and talked. I could also smell the cigarette from the balcony below one morning.
We loved this hotel, especially the location with panoramic views of the sea and that there were only electric cars. The staff were friendly, very attentive and Sandia had especially good English. Thank you to Kaymer who went over and above to make us feel welcome and cared for. We were very impressed by the breakfast spread with all manner of baked goods, juices, cold meats & cheese, hot food, fresh eggs etc. And stunning views of the bay. It is a very healing place with the natural, thermal springs to bathe in at a range of temperatures and very well maintained and created. The sea is right there and I loved being there at low season as pretty much had the sea to myself most days. The hotel has a simple beauty, and I enjoyed doing some yoga one morning on the balcony overlooking the bay. We ate in the local town and hotel and every meal was high quality and delicious. I didn't want to leave!

RussiaWish the property owners should invest more in renovation of Apollon terme. It’s also very sad that terms are closed during the winter time.
The hotel keeps its standards of quality and comfort. Rooms are completely renovated and cosy. The staff is friendly and helpful. San Angelo is the most green and beautiful place in Ischia. Amazing nature around, like in botanical garden.

United StatesThe rooms are tiny and very basic. I like a fairly firm bed, but these are hard. When we had some basic requests (water kettle, getting the included shuttle) we had to keep asking. Shuttle was often not available and the walkthrough shortcut through the Miramar was also not always available. Breakfast was also pretty basic, often coming on the late side, they'd have run out of stuff. Gluten free selection very small.
Most of the staff is wonderful and in general I love this place. Location is great, the thermal baths are wonderful

It is disgraceful this is not explained before booking The food is ridiculously priced and worst value for money I have ever seen.
