How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We hadn’t seen that there was no restaurant, no bar and no cafe or place to get coffee or tea during daytimes or evenings. Breakfast was quite packet-based.

It needs refurbishing. The showers and beds are very uncomfortable and the floors are noisy. Not many amenities in the rooms.
Clean and relatively close to Cortina centre. Decent breakfast.

The room we originally had faced the road and on the 3rd floor where wifi wasn't so good. We changed to a room on a lower floor facing a little away from road but this was a smaller room. It was the only other choice available.
Staff were really friendly and helpful (quite impressed with Italian hospitality). Breakfast was good, no complains. The location is good as there is a walking trail (1.9km) that brings you to town. It was quite a lovely walk. Onsite parking is also available.

The bathroom - the showers in the bathtub were not convenient, and the holder of the shower head was not working. Breakfast could have more options for vegans and vegetarians.
Bedroom was spacious and with a nice view of the mountains. Though the location is near to the city centre, it is not near enough for you to carry 2 heavy luggages to and from the hotel.

Bathroom decor was really outdated, "showering" in the bath with essentially a hose was an interesting affair...
Super value for money, basic but comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good. Location, although on the outside of the town, was good, 25mins walk to centre (on a walking path off the road), and free/easy parking out front. Views from the balcony were good with exceptional space.

No elevator. No fridge. No shower. Narrow bath tub with short spray head hose. No hot water at times. No AC for hot days or humidity control. No heat for cold nights in September.

Rooms are small and facilities are dated, but still good value for money.
Good location just a 3 minute drive from centre. The lovely lady that checked us in and served us breakfast was amazing- sorry I didn’t get your name! Street parking is easily available.

The in room safe was left locked by a previous guest and the staff were unable to open it with an override key. The door to the common balcony which also had a staircase fire escape to the street had no key and the staff were unable to supply one. Therefore the room could not be secured and there was no usable safe. The mattress was well past its use by date.
Nice cosy friendly traditional hotel. Good breakfast Nice views from the room.

Hotel is a bit outdated, owners might consider some renovation. Otherwise all is good
Rooms are pretty large, bathroom equipped with a bath tub, large balcony with a beautiful view. Parking available. Breakfast pretty good!

The hotel rooms feel a bit dated. The bed matresses are quite soft. No shower curtain for the tub.
Good, quiet location with parking spots in front of the hotel. Great breakfast, friendly staff.

Its really old fashion (but clean and it was also charming).
The location is fantastic. You can walk to town through a nice walking path. Everywhere you look you see the mountains. Nice terrace where you can sit in the sun and enjoy a good cappuchino

The breakfast was not of great quality, some items (like bread and juice) were not fresh.
The room was clean, with a nice view. The breakfast offers a good amount of choice.
