I travel a lot and I am very picky in the places where I stay. This location has been very satisfying. I was staying in another hotel but I had to leave there immediately. I drove to Lecce and halfway I booked Palazzo Bignami (30 minutes before arriving), solely based on the great reviews. I texted with Liana about my arrival and 30 minutes later I was greeted by her. Liana and Enzo, the couple who own the B&B, are so kind. They have a background in interior design and this is noticeable in the B&B. Spaces and rooms are decorated with such detail, every time you look somewhere, you will see something new. The B&B is very clean! I think hygiene is important and I was very satisfied. The bed felt new, the bed linnen felt new, the floors and furniture were clean. My compliments! The rooms are large, so are the sizes of the beds. For Italian standards, the shower cabinet is of a large size, which is great. The sun blinds in front of the window make minimal noise when you put them up or down, which is nice when you are trying to sleep and your neighbour uses them. You will hear nothing. Lastly, the street is very quiet, so you have a great sleep! The breakfast is of a high standard. Lots of products to choose from and a great cup of coffee. The location is great. It is 100 meters located outside of the old city centre, which puts you in a place of tranquility but with a short walk in Lecce’s buzzing city centre. It is also a 5 minute walk from the train station. Parking is free in front of the B&B. Lastly, you should ask Liana and Enzo for tips in the region. Enzo gave me the tip of driving on the east coast from north to south, as this coastal road is beautiful. Well, beautiful is an understatement as it was breathtaking. Liana and Enzo will give you great tips. I am going to visit Lecce again and I will definitely stay at Palazzo Bignami again. Best stay ever.

Everything was great

Amazing decor and so very clean. Beds were super comfortable, shower was wonderful. Beautiful breakfast room with everything you need and the best breakfast was served. Wine or beer available to purchase if desired. Great location close to the old city and many restaurants. Host recommended a great one. Too cool to enjoy the rooftop terrace but we did check it out and it’s very large and comfortable. Free parking on the road in front. very comfortable. I would highly recommend.

Everything was perfect.

The room was beautifully decorated, very large and comfortable (including the bed and pillows) and impeccably clean. The photos are great, but the reality far exceeds the photos. The breakfast was delicious. The hosts were lovely, and in particular, extremely helpful with our dietary limitations. The location was a very short and pleasant walk to the main sites of the historic center. The atmosphere in the gorgeous breakfast room - in the morning and sporadically during the day was fantastic with interesting guests interacting and chatting. I can't recommend Palazzo Bignami enough!

The B&B is not in the heart of the old town but was a quick walk to get there and to many sites and restaurants. Breakfast choices are abudant and all tasted amazing. During non breakfast hours water is available and you can purchase wine and beer on the honor system. I have been obsessed with the design of the breakfast room and the whole B&B. Take time to visit the rooftop to enjoy a glass of wine and see an amazing view of the city. We had no problem finding free parking near by.

Breakfast was impeccable - Owner Liana bakes everything from scratch and it is just delicious Rooms are very quite and super cozy Owners are always available if you need them, to give you beach towels, advice on where to go eat, they also pay particular attention to your special food needs. Minnie - the little house mascot is the cutest little thing, made our stay there all the more joyous! Lecce is a wonderful town and I would definitely go back and stay at Palazzo Bignami!

Everything! The detailed decoration, the delicious breakfast, the well designed room, the grand terrace and the location close to the old town. Even the free parking in the street at the bottom of the building. Wish we could have stayed longer in one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in.

Everything was excellent about Palazzo Bignami. The hosts were great, very nice people who care about providing a great experience. In particular the breakfast was fantastic and breakfast room was so cosy we could have sat there the whole day. And of course the little bichon maltese!

I loved everything about Palazzo Bignami. I was so pleasantly surprised as I booked last minute and didn't know what to expect. The owners are LOVELY, so accommodating and easy to communicate with. The room was huge and comfy and we appointed. The location is great. The breakfast is extensive and delicious. Would recommend without hesitation and will definitely stay again.

Spacious, clean with a magnificent breakfast - backed up with friendly hosts and their well behaved dog. Although we didnt get to use (too much to see in Lecce) the roof top garden is magnificent. This accommodation is just one block outside of the old town, which meant free white line parking, and easy to drive to and find a park without having to worry about road and parking rules.

Unique and beautiful. Well situated close to the old city and railway station. Lovely room, rooftop terrace, sweet Minnie the pooch. Lots of free on street parking.

The breakfast room and the breakfast itself are really exceptional, you could spend the whole day there. The owners are very warm and helpful and make you feel at home. The location is great just across the street from the central area. Everywhere is accessible within a short walk and it is a great location for a morning jog.

Great location, found easily from train station and on edge of the old city. Beautiful apartment with numerous guestrooms of good size and lovely decor. The roof top seating area provides the opportunity to enjoy the Puglia sunshine looking across the roof tops of the city.

We stayed at Palazzo Bignami this week and we would definitely return to this place again. Lianne and her husband run this place so well. It was so clean. The decor was beautiful. The location fantastic, just a 10 minute stroll to all the restaurants, the main square, the historical sites. There was a rooftop garden where you could relax in the afternoon on the big sofas. 10 out of 10

The location is sensational. Easy free parking but very close to the centro storico. The breakfasts were the best we had throughout italy. The black out blinds were great for a good nights sleep. The room and house decor was lovely. Very stylishly done.

A 2min walk to the heart of Lecce. We had a car and were easily able to find parking right in front of the property. There is a lift which you rarely find in Italy which was helpful. The decor is beautiful and breakfast was the best we had in our 4 weeks of travel Special mention to Minnie the adorable little dog, made everyday a treat seeing her around. Absolutely recommend this place
