How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Our safe did not work. We also only had one English channel which could have been ideal to have another option to be able to watch TV
Staff were lovely and made to feel very comfortable. Rooms were nice and clean.

Ensuite was small, although adequate.
Hotel Piacenza is central and perfect for the short stay I needed in Milan. The staff were excellent and there is 24 hours front desk which is helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended.

The decor is a little dated but has a certain vintage charm. Nothing major.
Special mention to the staff who were incredibly hospitable and helpful at reception. We had a very delayed flight which caused us to arrive at the hotel around 3am. Some other hotels in Milan charge extra for checking in after 11pm, and more after 1am. So, we chose this hotel because of its 24/7 manned reception at no extra charge. Room was quiet and decent sized with plenty of closet space and tables to place your luggage and clothes. You will sleep well on these firm comfortable beds. Good Wifi. Location is excellent with great bars and restaurants nearby. Direct buses to the centre, and metro access within a 7 min walk away. Breakfast was limited but decent.

I stayed in a room for 2 people. The air conditioning stopped cooling after midnight. It seemed to be working but did not give cold air. It was fixed towards the morning.
The staff was very friendly. It was good that the reception was open 24 hours a day. There was not much variety at breakfast, but it was still satisfying.

Breakfast was good, but options are limited.
Perfect location, easy to reach by car, overnight parking is close by, next metro station can be reached by walking in less than 5 minutes, enough restaurants around. Rooms are big enough, clean and well equiped.

Good breakfast and the staff was very kind and helpfull. We were with kids and they assisted us with everything, since small things likes getting hot water and also calling cabs. There are shops and restaurants close by and very good.

Soundproof of the rooms is very moderate, the one can hear tv from the neighbors room and talks in the corridor.
Simple but very nice breakfast, very good coffee! Cleanness and personal get the best score from me! Good location.

On noisy street so best ask for a room at the back. Voices can be clearly heard through the walls. Shower was compact. Breakfast seating was a bit limited.
Handy for Porta Romana metro. Plenty of good bars and restaurants in area. WiFi and hot water fine. Comfy bed. Natural light bathroom. Adequate breakfast.

The unique thing about this hotel is the staff, extremely nice helpful and friendly. Breakfast tasty and the room clean with a comfortable bed. Location great with very good transport links to the most important places in Milan. I would definitely recommend choosing Hotel Piacenza for your stay in Milan.

very small room and bathroom for 3 people, but for 1-2 nights ok. :) Cleanest not the best, many long black hair on the basthroom on the wall…
comfort bed, great location close to metro station, area full of bars and restaurant, but in the same time the street is not too noizy.

The bed wasn't really a double, it was a twin one joint together poorly - we had the impression we'll fall into the hole between them. The safe didn't work.

There was no elevator and we were travelling with a stroller. The room facing the street Via Piacenza was a little bit noisy due to the market.
Porta Romana is an excellent location to move around Milan. The staff is extremely kind.
