How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Location v good. Free parking. Always have caution about security in Italy, but staff very helpful all round.

Communication mix up caused to wait fir 30-40 minutes for Rome pick up by car.
Breakfast was excellent. The only place we were able to have a cup of tea. Hotel were able to provide personalised service by car, including pick up from Rome City centre.

There was not one thing we didn’t like, well that we couldn’t stay longer.
Everything was perfect. Travizio was the perfect host, he picked us up from the airport on May 2, took us to the Port of Rome for our cruise, then came back to pick us up on May 17 and took us to their Hotel, dropped off our luggage and took us to the Mall. He was fantastic, sweet, polite and Punctual, he made you feel like family.

The breakfast was lovely. A good selection of continental offerings and more! Plus they made cappuccinos too! The location was excellent. Only 10 minute ride to airport and 5 minute walk down to lungomare that’s lined with restaurants and bars and artisan goods. The room was exceptionally clean with a large comfortable bed. Staff was very friendly and responsive.

Could have done with a kettle in the room to make a hot beverage.

The room was clean, the staff was very helpful, and the hotel provided transportation services. The flight departure was very early in the morning, everything was taken care of, thanks to the staff. It only remains to add 😀 everything is 100%😉👌

Porto Di Claudio is a small family-run hotel in the city of Fiumicino, less than 15 minutes from the airport. It’s comfortable, nicely designed, and very clean. I highly recommend staying there if you want a comfortable place to get over jet lag or make for a stress free drive to the airport the day of your flight.

We were asked several times if we needed a transfer from the airport, we said that we would get there on our own, but when we arrived, there was nobody there, the door was closed, and we were scared that we wouldn't be able to get in at all. It was chilly outside, and we got cold. Eventually, after 8 minutes, the manager arrived with another guest and let us in
Great location not far from the airport, we reached by taxi in 10 minutes for 25 euros at night. In the morning, we walked to the sea, the breakfast was acceptable but nothing special) The room was large and clean, with several blankets and pillows

We have not complaints.
Carmela our host was very helpful, and gracious. She even arranged for a ride from the airport. Carmella was always available to answer questions and offer advice. The Apartment itself was clean and well-stocked with all the essentials.The bed was very comfortable, and there were plenty of towels and linens. The apartment was in an excellent location, quiet yet only a short walk to shops, restaurants, buses and the tram. We would highly recommend a stay at this location.

A kettle with tea and coffee facilities in the room would be a great addition.
This is an excellent choice of accommodation if you need to be close to the airport. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the rooms are clean and well furnished. Breakfast is included, and offers a great selection. There are plenty of local restaurants, cafe’s and bars nearby that are also very accommodating. They provide airport shuttles, and are very flexible with timings etc. Overall, an excellent choice.

Breakfast is provided but is very basic and could be improved. Communication about the airport shuttle pickup location was a bit confusing, but probably our fault.
A small family run hotel in Fiumicino very near the airport. Nothing fancy but very nice for a stay before or after arrival at the airport. The family that runs the hotel are wonderful, very friendly and competent. We were in a spacious room on the top floor with a large terrace. The shuttle service to and from the airport (for an extra fee) is convenient. We really like being in the small town and being able to walk to restaurants. Some very good fish restaurants nearby.
