How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The rooms and bathrooms are a little small but it is expected in a city like Rome.
The hotel is at such a prime location. We could reach everywhere walking. Staff is very sweet, always there to assist. They made an early breakfast basket at 7.30am in the morning as we had to leave early.They have an elevator which is quite unique but so glad we had it there as very few hotels in rome have elevators especially if you have heavy bags to carry. Also there is a taxi stand just below the hotel which was a life saver.

Nothing.
Room size is ok for our family - 2 adults and my 6-year old. 2 desks, a closet, one king bed and one twin bed. Bathroom not for big shapes though - for our family it's ok just a heads up for reference. Reception was very considerate - we leave early in the morning before breakfast time - they send us a breakfast basket!

It is centrally located between Colosseum and Vatican City. The rooms are clean and well appointed. Staff is friendly.

I wasn’t sure how to enter the hotel. There is security on the ground floor. Reception was on the 1st floor.
Great location. Nice and friendly staff. I enjoyed the simple Italian breakfast.

The staff are friendly and helpful . Baring in mind there is no kitchen they provide a very nice complimentary breakfast . My room was lovely. The hotel was in a perfect location and I walked to all of the sights from here . If you can’t there is a taxi rank at the door . I travel on my own and felt very safe in this area . I chose this hotel based on reviews and location and it did not disappoint.

The hotel's location is perfect for tourists, with most attractions just a 15-minute walk away. Additionally, the nearby bus stop offers frequent service to farther points of interest. Housed in a beautifully renovated historic building, our triple room was spacious, impeccably clean, and very quiet. The good breakfast was included in the rate. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and eager to assist with navigating Rome. I highly recommend this hotel for couples or families of three seeking a memorable vacation stay in the city.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Absolutely perfect location! Nice breakfast - with a great selection (much more than what you usually get in Italian hotels...). Very clean room!

Unfortunately, eggs were not offered at breakfast at all. The choosing of foods wasn't very diverse either. But this was leveled by the acceptable price of the room.
The location of the hotel was good to get to the most iconic landmarks of Rome (Piazza Navona, Castle Sant-Angelo, The Vatican, etc..) The staff was incredibly friendly - always ready to help us with anything!

At first we were in a room off the alley and it was very noisy. We asked and were moved to a room off the inner courtyard and it was wonderful.

Would be nice to have a place where we could enjoy some wine or cold beverages to talk with friends at the end of the day. No tables or locations available at property. Had to be very quiet in room as noise travelled.
Location is excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and the hot coffee. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Thank you for dropping off breakfast for the next day as we had an early flight. Will stay again!.

Perfect location in the centre. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars in the area. Staff was lovely, breakfast was simple but delicious.

Possibly access to a sitting room during the day. Easy Chairs in bedroom would be helpful. It can be noisy but I suppose that's to be expected in a central location.
Location is excellent and in walking distance from tourist sites of interest. All staff were very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was excellent. Hygiene and housekeeping services were exceptionally good. When I needed to depart early for personal reasons, we were given a complimentary taxi to the airport. Over all very happy with experience.

As said before - breakfast could be more diversited. Bed mattress was litlle bit used
Breakfast could be more diversited: every day the same (but fresh); from the other point of view: if You are just for a short trip this is not a problem. Localisation is more than perfect - if You are in Rome for sightseeing, You cannot find better place; personnel was very helpull and kind - not a bad word to say
