Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Modern and cozy hotel, clean appartments with very nice and clean barhroom with all the necessities, breakfasts were very tasty. Very comfortable beds and pillows. There were also rollets on the windows, so there was no heat in the room during the sunny days. The location was great, right at the corner of a tram station, so in the city center in 10 mins, or also by walk in cca 30 mins. Also the surrounding was calm and we felt safe there even in the evening. We actually booked one more night here, in the end, so I would really highly recommend :)

PortugalDuring my stay at the hotel, I had an unpleasant experience with the staff. From the moment I arrived, I felt unwelcome due to the rude behavior of the receptionist. I simply asked where the parking lot was, as it was included in my stay, but the receptionist responded that there was no parking available and to park wherever I wanted. This response was not apologetic, but rather indifferent. As a non-Italian, I was unfamiliar with the parking situation in the area and I asked for directions, but the receptionist ignored me. I decided to park my car in a nearby parking lot, but I was still unsure if it was allowed. When I returned to the reception for check-in, I asked the receptionist if I could leave my car there, but once again, I was ignored. I was worried that my car would be towed, so I went back to the parking lot to ask if it was okay to leave it there. I found out that the lot was intended for Italian residents and the signs were not clear. I moved my car to avoid losing it the next morning. Unfortunately, my experience was not unique as two other couples had similar encounters with the receptionist. The lack of attention to the guests and the rude behavior of the staff were discouraging and made it difficult for everyone to enjoy their stay. Overall, I had an unpleasant experience at the hotel.

EstoniaStaff was horrible. Cleaning lady disturbed 6 x on the morning- Like she had alzheimer. Finaly cleaning lady took 10am all the towels away- not possible to take a shower at the morning. Minibar refilling stuff also wanted to do thei job before check out time. It seemed the hotell wanted to get you 09:00 am. In the room was not “do not disturbe door sign also.

Egyptthere was a very bad smell in the toilet, no kettle in the room, no water bottles have to pay to get it, breakfast was very low quality and didn’t like and very limited varieties, staff can’t talk English and not friendly at all. didn’t like the experience of staying there and wanted to leave it quickly.. also shower cabin was very small so i was suffering to take a shower , toilet seat was very sticked to the wall so ii was suffering to make a toilet

United StatesWhat I believe false advertisement on the website for "free breakfast"... It comes in categories, even though my have been my fault, the website kept changing prices the longer it took me to book it....
Staff overall were very accommodating. The hotel overall was close to many easy access to all over town. Driving around requires New York style expertise.. it was fun, but city transportation is the way to go. Hotel was very clean, and the rooms were small but comfortable.
