Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LatviaHello Fenicia Residence! We really liked this hotel with a charming view of Simius beach, good service, quiet atmosphere, excellent breakfast and of course the beautiful beach. The only thing we missed was the hot water in the bathroom, but you can get used to it with time! It is also good that the hotel is located a little away from the town of Villasimius. Will definitely come back to this lovely place, see you Martins!

HungaryA buffet breakfast would be better.
A quiet hotel near to the white sandy beach with sea view rooms. The furniture in the rooms a little bit outdated, but it is not a problem, because everything so clean. The hotel has a beautiful garden. The breakfast was delicious and served at the swimming pool. A shuttle bus takes the guests of the hotel to the beach.

AustraliaThe hotel is pretty far from the town where all the restaurants are (approx 20-30 minute walk depending where you go). Given you need to go into town every night for dinner as the hotel doesn’t have a dinner service it can become a little tedious. The roads are very dark at night if you are walking. I would suggest hiring a bike or having a car to get to and from the town. The facilities in the room were limited given the cost eg there was a coffee machine but no coffee provided, no soap for the dishes and no cleaning service.
We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The property was beautiful and well maintained, and had a stunning view of the ocean from the pool/reception area. There is no private access to the beach as we thought but the hotel provide a shuttle service to get to the beach which was quick and easy. The breakfast provided was really good and had lots of variety. The room and common areas were really clean and comfortable. The room was very spacious and had a balcony overlooking the ocean.

United KingdomThe staff, location and views were first class. Breakfast was good. The only negative thing to say is on your website it says there is a path direct from the hotel to the beach but this has been closed for quite a long time. You have to take the road to the beach. Overall it was very good.

United StatesThe location is really nice. The view was amazing and it was super nice to enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif in our balcony. The hotel doesn’t serve dinner but but they shared tips for Villasimius’s restaurants which are less than 10 min away and there are also shops where to buy groceries - the bedrooms come with a kitchenette where simple meals can be prepared and dinner in the balcony overlooking the sea is always a good choice.

United KingdomYou know that wicker furniture that is always in the junk shops ... Decor-wise the rooms are timed warped into the1980's, clean and basic but really old fashioned (think Fawlty) pastel beige rough plaster with a bedspread my great aunt Nellie would be proud of, a dressing table I could improve on at the local council refuse site and our double room was tiny, barren, old and ugly, with absolutely nowhere to put a suitcase if you did not want to unpack completely into the midget wardrobe, and a balcony juuuust large enough for two chairs ... but only if they face each other. The photos are clever and misleading, there was definitely NOT enough space in the room for a desk and chair and there was no desk and chair and the bathrooms are pastel blue tiles, c.1979. The hotel's location above the beach sells this hotel and they know it, making this is a really expensive rather unpleasant old room. It was not somewhere we wanted to come back to after the beach to change in to go out to eat. We had booked 3 nights, holidays are important but we would have dumped all the money (£548!!) written the place off and just left to go and find somewhere else but I negotiated that they gave us an apartment for 2 nights with breakfast if we left a day early. The manager at the end of the phone first asked for more money but then agreed to my suggestion (they now had our double room free for 3 nights that they could let again) ... We moved for 2 nights into one of 4 self-catering apartments they could not let, b'fast included, full terrace onto the garden and a sea view. Our 6th trip to Sardinia, we love the island, on this 10 day trip we stayed in 4 hotels and all 3 of the others were far superior to this and for much less money. We will not be back to Residence Fenicia. Oh and please turn off the loud music at breakfast!
Good location with 'golf' buggy to take you to and from the beach. Lovely pool area overlooking the sea. Order breakfast the day before ... how do I know what I want the next day???!!! Lovely beach, roped off for Fenicia guests, with sunbeds, solid palm-leaf parasols and shower (no loos!). 20 minute easy walk into Vallisimius, great restaurants (we are foodies), ask at reception for advice, thank you ladies for the restaurant advice. Free parking on site. Friendly staff. Breakfast service is really quiiiiiiiiiite sloooowww.

HungaryThe interior design of the apartment is outdated. Old furniture including 20 years old smoke detector. Reception closing early afternoon making it impossible to handle any issue in the evening (no hot water for shower due to faulty boiler). Ordering breakfast previous day by the piece you would like to eat is ridiculous (ending up 0.5 kg cheese one morning and 0.1 kg the next day for two people) Cleaning staff trying to enter the apartment without knocking while we are inside and lack of English speaking from their part telling us something about "policia" which ended up meaning that she wanted to polish inside. Expectation for the price we paid was not this service and accomodation!
The location of the residence and the landscaping is charming.
