there is nothing to unlike, the hotel is a luxury even in a very irregular setup, every room is different, in different walkways, but still you get the upscale service

Everything was perfect

The staff at Sant’Angelo was truly amazing!!Everyone was so gracious, helpful and knowledgeable .Michele was fantastic. He went out of his way to make everything perfect for me and my family. This was the most amazing stay at this hotel. My grandparents are from Matera, so it was really special. The resort was like no other! The stunning views, the authenticity of the caves (with some added glam).The magical city views ! This is a must if you’re going to Matera. I can’t wait to go back.

Magical, wonderful place, with all the comforts. Beautiful room and private terrace with relaxing mattress overlooking the city. We only used the restaurant for breakfast only and it was outstanding with a lovely view.

Although the room was air-conditioned, it probably needed a bigger air conditioning unit to cool the room more efficiently. A problem I guess when it’s only excessively hot as we encountered in August.

45€ for parking (24h) is expensive but you have free taxi transfer from the parking to hotel, transfer is very flexibel. I think it’s a good choice to take this service.

The property was perfect. The parking staff and process was painful. Car park attendant was rude and dismissive. Didn’t explain what we had to do and tutted and sighed while we were unpacking the car. Not a nice first experience.

The staff were friendly and knowledgable, the room was just perfect. The view from the room was superb. The highlight of our stay was Dinner. Absolutely amazing food, fabulous service, knowledgeable and efficient waiting staff. Will definitely be back.

One of the rooms was not as expected (upstairs/downstairs sleeping areas) and neither offered a balcony nor a view which were the two main reasons we booked this hotel. The one room had a glass walled bathroom which offered no privacy. We in turn had to pay for an additional room as we were not traveling as a couple and wanted our (somewhat) private spaces.

The staff was very accommodating, professional and friendly. They provided us with an overview and history of MATERA and made many great recommendations for food and scenic spots.
