Nothing really. It would be great if there was an iron in each of the rooms so you don't have to ask, but other than that everything was fine.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing negative to say about any of them. It's such a quiet, peaceful place to stay. It's just a 2 minute drive to town, so it's only a walk away if you want to.

The multi-storied Si Montalcino Hotel (air-conditioned; served by an elevator; on-site parking) is located up on the hillside at the quiet south end of the quaint hill-top town Montalcino, the center of the Brunello Wine Country. It is only a short 5 minute/1 mile drive from the hotel to the Parcheggio Piazzale Fortezza (free after 20:00 hours), close to the town's center. Our nice & clean room faced the hill, the french door opens to a small, walled and private terrace which we took advantage of. The bed was comfortable, the spacious bathroom was clean and offered an awesome view of the country side. The excellent breakfast with myriad choices will satisfy everyone. We extend special thanks to the staff at the reception desk who checked us in quickly and with a smile, then spent a great deal of time not only to point out restaurants which best would meet our expectations, but also to make the reservation for us. This was not expected, but very much appreciated since the hotel's restaurant was closed because of lack of staffing. We enjoyed an al fresco dinner at the Osteria di Porta al Cassero at tables set up in Via Ricasoli, only 150 ft/46 m distant from the Parcheggio Piazzale Fortezza.

The beds could have been a bit more comfortable.

What a beautiful hotel just outside of Montalcino! We enjoyed lounging by the pool after a day of driving and wine tasting, and even had a small terrace off our room. The rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed and beautifully lighted from the outside. The breakfast options were the best that we encountered on our three-week trip in Italy.

We enjoyed our stay here. Although it's in need of some updating, the hotel made the perfect stay & we would recommend it. Big windows which opened to a beautiful view. We had a car so access to town was easy, parking was always available. Great pool area, after a hot day sightseeing. Breakfast was good (not included), and they made a great coffee!

It is not possible to go walking to the town

We loved this hotel, and it was booked almost completely for our daughter's wedding nearby. The only issue we had was that the toilet malfunctioned in the night and was not usable in the morning. We let the staff know. Otherwise this hotel was wonderful, and we would stay again!!! Thank you to everyone there!!!

Our shower was cold for 2 days but the owners went out of their way to get it fixed as quickly as possible.

Lovely view from the room. Very comfortable bed. Pool very clean. Lots of clean pool towels every day. Breakfast excellent, plenty of choice. Staff very friendly and helpful especially when our shower wasn't working properly. They were also very helpful with information about restaurants and booking them for us also suggesting some great places to visit.

- It is a bit bigger hotel that doesn't really have this "cosy toscany feeling". This place was closest to the standard european hotel during our trip around Tuscany.

A fair walk to and from town as the hotel restaurant was closed. Quite a steep hill back from town if you are on foot.

Montalcino is a great base if yr planning to drive around the area visiting sites and wineries and the town is brilliant and not too busy either, with great authentic restaurants

Absolutely nothing, everything was truly exceptional.

The hotel is located on the hill due to which there is an absolutely stunning and breathtaking view, which can be admired from both the pool or a breakfast table. The breakfast was rich with a variety of both sweet and savory options. The room had a perfect size and the backyard garden was lovely. Also, you can walk to the centre of Montalcino and it takes no longer than 15 minutes, which gives you an amazing opportunity to taste a variety of local wines. Lastly, I would like to highlight the fact that there was a mosquito net, which was really appreciated.
