Top floor rooms ceilings were a bit low.

We selected the hotel as there was on street parking, so a little bit of a walk to the main city centre. Fantastic welcome with an instant mark up of a map for us for a walking day around the city seeing all the top sites. Delicious breakfast - ignore the savoury stuff - just eat the pastries and cakes...

The hotel was old. It really needs some renovation of the rooms and of the reception premissess too. It looked like a hotel which had its top moment in the '90s but now is definitely in need for change.

I liked the hospitality of the staff. Simone, who was the guy who was waiting for us at the reception was so kind and nice that i have no words to describe. We arrived very late at night, at around 1.30, and he was there waiting for us and, since we were visibly very tired, he kindly and politely asked us about our trip and showed immediately his promptness to make us feel welcomed. In the morning we left very early, around 5.30. Simone was there and immediately offered us a coffee on the house and also said that it was on the house the bottle of water we had used in the room from the fridge. He also immediately arranged for a taxi for us when we asked. If i have to return in such hotel, it will be only because of his kindness and profesionalism.

The Ucciardhome is an exceptional place to stay - located close to the port, it offers first class service at modest rates. Thehotel has kept up its excellent standards over the years we have stopped by. Parking is secure (Euro 18). The staff is courteous and highly professional - they make you feel at home

The main shopping _ restaurant area, capo di Mercato was just a little far about a 20-minute walk. Other than that. No complaints.

Not enough choice of fruit for breakfast. Hanging rail in wardrobe so high I had to stand on a chair to hang clothes or remove them. Top of curtain had come away from curtain rail letting daylight in. No fire safety device on ceiling. Difficult to read in bed as bed too far away from bedside light.

Large garden room with large wardrobe space. Safe deposit box in cupboard. Comfortable bed. Friendly helpful staff. Quiet room overlooking garden. Good simple breakfast.

Location was further from centre than we realised but walkable. Very helpful staff with recommendations on what to do and where to eat. Fine dining, also upmarket pizzeria and a craft beer bar all within 100m of hotel. Great breakfast, well worth the price.

A 4-star-house should offer a better and highly comfortable room, only one chair, no extra light, an odd cupboard. The breakfast room was very tiny.

Nice Hotel, friendly people, not too loud around, very big bed and nice well equipped bathroom. good breakfast, fresh coffee, from eggs to sweets and toast... nice garden. Very clean everywhere, with elevator. Buses around the corner, not too busy in the area which we like.

Poor wifi Poor breakfast offer No food available in day or night

I booked 30 minutes before arrival this was great. Day and night team were amasing. Wifi did not work in room and everyday I asked for help, this was a poor experience, air con was noisy but worked. The breakfast was very dissapointing and nothing was thought about for English on this, cereals and cakes were also left out all day after breakfast, 150+ tv Chanel’s but nothing in English once more we were not thought about. Great size room, loved the shower and the people so good stay overall but a little more thought needed in food offer/presentation and health & safety. I would stay again although as I couldn’t watch tv or eat the breakfast that I paid for everyday the price was a little high. I hope this feedback helps with success.

The staff upon check out was great! We been offered coffee and a small pastry which we appreciated a lot. The location was fairly good but you have to walk a bit to get to the main attractions of the city.

The overall cleanliness of the rooms is a bit shabby. Did not feel comfortable that the room had been thoroughly cleaned from the previous guests. And no mattress protector on the bed either. The bedside lamps are spattered with red paint and at first sight we thought that they were blood splattered...a bit confronting to say the least. We worked out that the drips were the same paint colour as the wall.

The property is close to everything and convenient to walk into the centre, however walking around at night to walk to some local restaurants is a bit scary, albeit that its worth it because the local restaurants are a real taste of the authentic Palermo :-)

there was nothing to complain about, though the room needs to be cleaned in the corners and behind doors, and I would suggest a thorough clean of the shower to get rid of the water stains around the shower edge.
