Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThis hotel has a long (maybe half a mile) of a driveway and the bus stops on top of the road, so if you have a car or a tax you'll have no issues at all. I would still give them an A+
This Villa sits in middle of a beautiful olive grove with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean see and the island of Capri. They had the most delicious breakfast of our Italy trip- everything was fresh and the host was really nice and made us feel extra special!

United StatesThe villa has a beautiful panorama of the bay of Naples. You can see Capri, Ischia, Napoli, and Vesuvius. The villa is also a working farm. You stroll through grape vineyards, as well as olive, orange and lemon groves. The place is magical, and the staff is amazing.

United StatesSince it is outside of the city center it is very complicated to get around without a car or scooter. Especially in the evenings. Taxis aren't that helpful outside of the Sorrento center, they not only are expensive to get to Villa Angelina many will refuse to drive there, because once they go there it takes them away from the "action". We knew about that going in so we rented a scooter but we arrived too late to pick it up so learned how to move around without it the first night. The Villa is also about 1km away from the main road so don't rely on buses. You are going to find yourself walking on roads with no sidewalk and in the evenings in pitch black darknews. The building we stayed in was also 700m away from main building so if you have no vehicle and lots of luggage you are going to end up lugging those things up the small hill through the olive farm roads. With a vehicle this is non issue. The other thing we noted was that the Wifi was not amazing in our Villa, coverage was spotty. All that being said we loved it there.
This place is unbelievable, Villa Angelina is truly a unique property. The Villa stands on the top of a cliff giving you an almost 360 degree unobstructed view of Sorrento, Capri, Vesuvius and of course the hills of Massa Lubrense (the area where Villa is located at, a few km outside of Sorrento center). This main Villa you see pictured is often used as a wedding venue. We saw three weddings take place the weekend we were there. So keep that in mind when trying to book during weekends. We ended up staying in the third building they have in the property. It was great, the building is arranged like a multifamily triplex where every room has their entrance with a porch area. The building I stayed in was deep in the property about 700m away from the main Villa, so it was quiet and isolated from the action in main property. It also had its own huge terrace where me and my friends would go watch the sunset. The Villa and the neighboring properties all grow their own olives so another neat thing about the property is that they were being harvested while we were there. Breakfast was good, let's say it was an Italian continental breakfast, and you could order tea or coffee. There was enough space to park a car or scooter (that's what I used). I really enjoyed how much this place stood out in comparison to the rest. We passed by the Villa by boat and we could point it out on the way to Capri.

ArgentinaThe new building looks a bit cheap in comparison to the grand antique building that was the original Villa. The rooms lack soul, decoration is pretty standard and lighting and atmosphere is a bit cold. Moreover, there's an extra building at the back of the premises that is abandoned and empty, which looks a bit haunting. It's not terrible, but it's probably more interesting if you get a room in the original main building.
Villa Angelina is a gorgeous resort. The premises are really beautiful with amazing views of the sea and the coast. I definitely recommend staying here if looking to enjoy the Amalfi coast: it's far away from the chaos of tourists in Sorrento yet you can easily go there by transportation or car as it is within short distance of all the main beaches (you can even visit Positano in a day). The rooms in the new building comfortable but lack soul, this is easily compensated by the surroundings. They also serve a great breakfast and have beautiful olive plantations all over!

United StatesThere wasn't anything not to like here.
The view and location were amazing. The breakfast was excellent. Our room was in the annex and it was simply beautiful. I wish we had spent more time at this location. The staff was friendly and helpful. we arrived early and they allowed us to leave our luggage and move on with our day and check in later when our room was ready. The grounds are beautiful.

SwedenThe only drawback is the uphill walking distance to the bus. But that was no issue as Claudio gave us a lift there when we needed it.
The hotel service by Claudio and Daniella made this visit astonishing. The views from the hotel are spectacular and the shuttle service to the beach and Raphael's restaurant are frosting on the cake. Worth every Euro we spent on it.
