Not an issue for us but I would advise to book a car as easier to get around

The staff at the reception was friendly and professional. The estate is beautiful, rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with nice design details. Proximity to Florence but in the countryside. It makes it an excellent location if you want to avoid the crowd, enjoy nature but still be able to go to Florence or other close destinations.

excellant We spent 5 nights in an elegant first floor room, sharing a generous and comfortable guest lounge, kitchen, breakfast and courtyard dining areas downstairs with a small number of other guests staying in the same palazzo. So we had the opportunity to enjoy complete privacy in our suite as well as convivial company in the shared spaces. Set high in the tranquil Chianti countryside with gorgeous rural views, this property is perfectly positioned for access to Florence and the autostrade north or south. Staff were delightful, extremely kind, nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel completely at home.

The facility is beautiful. Made and preserved in the old style. The whole facility is very clean. The breakfast is of high quality, the pastries are excellent. Nature, beauty and peace are something that especially adorns this object. The staff is professional and very friendly.

Beautiful wine estate in the Tuscan countryside with amazing views, comfortable facilities and amenities and a quick drive to Florence. All of the staff were kind and wonderful while Ariana in reception was especially welcoming and helpful and made our trip extra special.

We loved our stay in the villa, the staff were amazing, the villa chef cooked us eggs made us coffee. We also booked the 4 course dinner with wine pairing. Martha the host of the dinner was amazing, she was super knowledgeable and it was great to also dine with others from around the world. Make sure you book a car to explore the country side. It was a Tuscan dream !

Villa Medicea di Lilliano is a beautiful property with long history. We were welcomed by lovely Stefania, who gave us a tour of the property and wine shop and even made a dinner reservation for us. The room was huge and nicely renovated. We enjoyed the friendly service at breakfast and the pool.

We did not like the fact that you need to pay to view or walk through the bigger size of garden and commom areas inside the villa. It was part of the tour, and we think that guests should be allowed to walk trough the entire estate...

I cannot fault this stay, it was exceptional.

The breakfast was delivered to the villa every day. We had a private pool and a huge communal area, both indoor and outdoor. On the first night we cooked a big meal - the kitchen was well-equipped for this. There were plenty of nespresso pods for us to make using the fantastic coffee machine. The rooms are enormous and so comfortable. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They gave us insect repellent as there are quite a few mosquitos hanging around. We also booked a wine tasting and tour with the venue which was exceptionally good. We had one gluten free person in our group and they accommodated them very well.

The only thing I would add here, is that there is not a restaurant on site for dinners or lunches. Breakfast was uncluded and it was a nice spread, but unless you book a wine lunch/dinner at the villa, you are on your own for food. There is a kitchen you can use and are the restaurants in the two adjoining towns, but over 2km away. We did book the wine dinner and tour and thought it was very well done, but a little pricey at 130 Euro per person.

This is a great place to get away and see a winery and olive oil operation in action. The property is a short drive from Florence, and easy to get to by car. But I would recommend having a car. You need one to get to the one o f the adjoining towns the Villa is in if you want to get dinner. The room was huge and spacious, and had an amazing bathroom. The breakfast was very nice and the pool was relaxing and wonderful to stay at. The staff is over the top helpful and so great to work with. They went above and beyond to assist us on some of our needs.

It highly exceeded our expectations. The wine experience was phenomenal! Our hostess was so passionate and knowledgeable, and we met new friends by doing it. Our room was gorgeous with fabulous views. It was huge! They even offered laundry services we could use complimentary. We will definitely return and recommend it to others!

Staying at Villa Medicea di Lilliano was literally like living a dream. The structure is a real pearl, a finely furnished country house with careful attention to the details. The staff was very kind and helpfull for all our extra requests we made. A real paradise only 30 minutes far away from Florence downtown. I can’t wait to come back visiting this place, next time I would like to have a tour to the vineyard and the olive tre grove.

The staff was extremely friendly and the villa was exceptional! Very clean and organic also with a well maintained pool with cool water. Breakfast was very nice spread of baked goods, ham, cheese, fruits, and assortment of continental with a kind staff serving fresh coffee and eggs of your choice. The rooms were such an amazing design from the old days and yet sparkling clean. We did a dinner 4 course and wine pairing. Monica is such an amazing host and her food was fantastic. The course was Tuscan ham and cheese platter, ravioli, beef and dessert. You get about five different kinds of wine to taste. Super recommended! The next day when we checked out, we bought the kinds of wine from the dinner we really enjoyed.

The breakfast was fine and included a good range of food, but was a bit repetitive. Perhaps some sort of checkbox for what you would prefer the next day would cut down waste?

The location and staff could really not be faulted. It is in a lovely vineyard about 20 minutes drive from Florence. All the staff went out of their way to be helpful, offering restaurant recommendations and doing everything they could to make our stay a success. There were a few niggles (a missing bath plug and a TV that would not work) but these were swiftly resolved.
