The bed was made and bed clothing was fresh but other than that the room was dirty. Nobody even checked if there was enough toilet paper (there was only a nearly used roll after the previous guests).

A good hotel with good amenities, though it hasn’t been renovated for years.

The rooms did not have what they said they had. E.g we didn’t have a steam shower/sauna, the spa bath did not work. The toilet was also a smart toilet that didn’t work. We had to move rooms after our first 2 days because our toilet wouldn’t flush. It didn’t work when we first checked in and told them. We had to stay in that room until the following day, which was really tricky and meant we could not properly use the toilet for 12 hours. The 2nd room we moved to didn’t not have a steam shower as it didn’t have a shower door. Just be aware that the rooms are not equipped as they are advertised.

Large rooms, good aircon and comfortable bed with lovely duvet and pillows. Underfloor heating in 1 of the rooms was nice. Use of microwave in lobby was useful.

Central heating: The room was a little too warm Pillows: I had to buy a pillow after the 2nd night Lights on the light switches: They illuminate the room. Had to cover them.

The location, friendly staff, big rooms, shower, cleanliness, firm comfy bed, big bath to soak in after walking all day. All this for a low price

Everything was perfect.The staff can speak very fluently Japanese. The room was big and spacious. Same goes to the bathroom. You can fit 10 people in there. The staff were friendly too. The bathroom heater is working.Groceries store were nearby. Lots of cafe and restaurant. A lot of landmark nearby such as busan tower and park.Love the stairs going up the tower tho.20/10 rate of stay.

You have to go up a hill to get there. The blankets weren’t clean and the bed wasn’t made (for example, our cover wasn’t fitted and the bed sheets had a stain).

The location is quite central. Its alright for a short stay. Management was alright.

It’s on a hill, so at the end of the day when we were tired we had to walk up to the hotel.

Staff are very friendly and helpful, microwave and cooking devices provided in lobby, laundry available. Our rooms were cleaned daily. We were allowed to store our luggage at no extra cost.

Some of the electronics had exposed wiring and could be replace and it'd be nice to have more clear English instructions for both the washing machine and dryer. Not biggies, just minor nitpicks.

Rooms were large, spacious and clean with various window options, a card control system, air conditioning and a big cozy bed. My bathroom had a bath, shower and toilet with a bidet. All equally as clean and spacious. The staff at the hotel were wonderful, helpful and spoke English. My room was serviced everyday: I'd come back from an adventure to find a clean, freshly made bed, new soap/TP and even free water bottles in the fridge. The hotel itself is wonderful in every regard but the greastet thing about the Elysee is the location: It was so magical to be just a staircase away from Busan Tower and a hop and a skip from BIFF Square, Bosu Book Street, Bupyeong Kkangtong Market, Gwangbok-ro Fashion Street, the Busan Museum of Movies and the LOTTE Department Store Gwangbok; a mall home to the largest indoor water fountain. That as well as being a few minutes from Jung-Ang and Nampo stations and a less-than 10 minute train ride from Busan Station. Overall, Elysee was a huge contributing factor in making my time in Busan a magical experience and I would easily book again if I ever returned to Busan.

The room is really not clean. We had lots of cockroaches. I’ve travelled to more than 70 countries and never had so many cockroaches or at all in my room. We found so many cockroaches during our stay and staff didn’t seem bothered. There were also sooooooo many mosquitoes no matter what we did and we got bit so much. It was hard to sleep. The room also was so musty and smelled like mould. It was hard to breathe. There were lots of hairs everywhere all the time that were not ours. It was very uncomfortable and dirty. The washlet didn’t work. They didn’t clean the room daily. I would pay more money to stay in a better hotel, the price was not worth staying here at all. I barely slept and couldn’t rest here at all. 0/10

The overall maintenance of the room is bad. Smelly stinky bathroom, black spots on few spots of walls where bathtub was removed. Silicon seal and drill holes from former bathtub are still there. We need to request re-cleaning when checking in to the room as there were hairs on the beds. The 10th floor hallway is pretty dark. Wall is almost black color. We booked a room with seaview, but seaview means only high floor, there was only concrete buildings in the surroundings to be viewed. No sea to be seen. No curtains on the windows.

Near the Yongdusan park, good interior design, lady front desk was helpful. Water cooler at the lobby. Elevator.

The overall hygiene was questionable as we found several hairs and stains in the bed. The shower didn't have sufficient drainage so everything went out of the shower into the bathroom where luckily there was drainage. I sadly didn't see that before so my clothes that I placed on the ground were soaking wet.

The location, although almost on top of a hill, was good but the hill was very steep. The room and bathroom was very big. Before arrival, the contact with the owner was quick, good and flexible. Shower was big, even for my almost 2 meter standard! For a night okay.

The bed was comfortable, and the bathtub was the cherry. The staff was very kind. The area is full of restaurants and bars, and the metro and bus are very close, amazing shopping locations.

TLDR: It's a ruin, many things are broken and theres excessive dust and even mould / wood fungus in some places. ----- We changed rooms twice as the first one was not standard clean (bedsheets had stains) and missed the booked facilities (very different from pictures). The 2nd time we changed was because most amenities were broken. Jacuzzi, steam sauna and rain shower didn't turn on. Shower door did not close due to material friction. Sauna seat had mould/fungus and partially rotted through, causing one wood bar to be missing one side (broke off in ages past). The last room had a broken jacuzzi again (did not turn on); steam sauna did turn on but did not get hotter than 34°C due to many air gaps - we had to use towels to stuff the gaps to make it go to 42°C (the installed one is rated to go up to 55). Also there was a lot of mould in the bathroom, especially the shower area. Also, having seen multiple rooms - the rooms within the same category (deluxe double in our case) differ in what they offer - some have bidets, some don't. Some have a bench, some don't. Some provide bath gowns (had holes), some don't. In one room the steam sauna door connected directly to the bedroom (no separate bathroom door).

Friendly owner. He gave us recommendations of what we could do in Busan. The location is great. Very central and the Busan Tower is directly behind the hotel. It was very quiet hotel when we were there. Easy check in and check out.
