The air conditioning was below capacity and got a bit warm at night as a result of which we did not sleep The food wansnt all that great and not good value for money .

I had the most wonderful experience at Hotel Casona Alonso 10! The room was beautifully decorated, creating a lovely atmosphere, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay exceptional - they were incredibly friendly, nice, and always ready to assist. The restaurant at the hotel was simply superb, offering delicious meals that surpassed my expectations. Additionally, the hotel's perfect location made it convenient to explore the area and enjoy nearby attractions. To top it all off, I was even invited as a guest to an event taking place during my stay, adding an extra touch of exclusivity. I can't wait to return to Hotel Casona Alonso 10 in the future. It truly exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a fantastic hotel experience.

Our room did not have any windows, except into the interior stairwell, which we couldn't keep open and still have privacy. The advantage is that our room was very quiet. The disadvantage is that it felt a bit cave-like.

The restaurant in the hotel is wonderful. Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and the beds very comfortable. It was immaculately clean. We were grateful for the air conditioning! The hotel is very convenient to everything, just steps from the main square, the funicular, and yet remarkably quiet and tranquil inside.

Since we were driving we we had to park far from the hotel (the hotels complimentary parking lot) and take a cab to the hotel. But since the hotel is in the heart of Guanajuato, a UNESCO World Heritage site, I am not sure how they could change that.

The central location in Guanajuato historical center. We had a terrace off our room where we had a great view of the New Years fire works and the historical buildings. The staff was wonderful and even brought us two glasses of champagne to our room at midnight. Also, the bed was very comfortable, the room was warm at night, and quite when the windows were closed (even with everyone celebrating in Guanajuato center).

I didn't like my view. Not only was it a perfect view of people walking up the 2nd and 3rd flight of steps, but if I want to open the shades to get some light, EVERYONE could see straight into my room. They need some tints or mirrored glass installed or something. I know nothing can be done about the view, that's not my main complaint, it's that people could see directly in my room. I wish there were a few more English-speaking channels so I could watch something interesting as I wind down at night.

I loved the authenticity of the hotel. It was really pretty and charming. The room amenities were lovely - robes, slippers, plush linens, soaps, ear plugs, AC, cable (98% Spanish speaking, but okay). The entire front desk staff was kind, helpful, and amazing at what they do. I needed some clothes ironed; they had the service come up, take my items, iron them, and bring them back (for a few, of course). Super helpful. The best part by FAR was the bar staff in the speakeasy-esque bar downstairs. Christian and his crew of exceptionally talented mixologist specialist whose name I cannot recall, but they were the TRUE highlight of my stay. I was there for a wedding and brought a few friends I met down there back to the bar area two (2) nights in a row, and they LOVED the experience as well. This was a really lovely boutique hotel nicely situated in a great area. Thank you Casona Alonso 10!

There are lots of steps to the top floor where we stayed and there is no elevator. Having said that, i would not change it as it is the character of the place. I loved the inner atrium and the light.

Beautiful architecture combining colonial roots and modern comforts! The terrace was spacious. I loved the double windows which kept cold and noise outside. It is right in the Centro yet has car access! That means the taxis can drop you to and pick you up from the property!

Very over-priced. A glass of wine with one inch of wine? Food in the restaurant was okay, but overpriced. The coffee press in the room is fine, but only 2 tablespoons of coffee for a carafe produces very watery coffee. The soap dispenser in the bathroom was broken. Two days for someone to replace the broken light bulb in the lamp next to the bed. Room with balcony? Balcony overlooking driveway to tunnel is not anything special and certainly not worth any extra cost. The staircase winding up through the building is elegant, but also serves to vent the kitchen. Cooked onions and barbequing beef permeated everywhere. For $200 US per night, the bottled water should have been free. Again, very overpriced.
