Wifi was catastrophic, pools were extremely dirty, breakfast was unsufficient. Fruit salad + strawberry yogurt + gronala + 2 pcs bread butter honey + coffee for everyday... frankly some boiled eggs / tomato / cheese wouldn't hurt. Full of sugar ... Water pressure was also very bad

The property itself is run down and in need of maintenance. The public area is not well maintained or in good shape.

I arrived in Playa del Carmen very early in the morning and prior to my trip I checked with them to see if I could be accommodated earlier than the 3pm checking. They assured that if the room was a available this was not a problem. Showed up early as I had communicated and they made sure to state that check in was 3pm. The front desk lady was nice enough to let me change out my traveling clothes in a vacant room and hold my bags but let me know I couldn’t have it because check in is 3pm so I had to wander up and down 5th avenue and kill time at a cafe across the street until 3pm and every time she saw me she made sure to remind me it’s almost 3pm. She was nice and all but I did wish they would have been more accommodating as they had promised and I knew they were able to since they had vacant rooms at 8am when I arrived.

No water hot or cold provided, no access to fridge or microwave, our room was on the ground floor next to the pool so very noisy when people were in the pool and not very private. We requested the ground floor because there’s no elevator and as my dad is a pensioner, getting luggage up the stairs would have been very difficult - the breakfast was instant coffee and not very fresh fruit 😬

Better lighting at night. More trees and plants in common areas. Better seating in common areas. Better wall decorations in rooms. Continental breakfast was weak in my opinion. The brittle toast was not very popular.

This area of 5 th avenue is very quiet. It is close to Calle 38 which is one of the best streets in playa. Ah cacao is directly across the street for coffee. Chedraui select is also close which is an outstanding grocery store. Many good restaurants in the area. Rooms are clean. Great air conditioning and WiFi. Staff is wonderful. There are many steps to get to rooms on 2 nd and 3 floor. Not an issue for me as I enjoyed the exercise.

I didn like bed, it was wird. When you would just sit on it was making noises. We tought that will break in some point.

Nice room, clean and spacious. Very good thing in a room was a fridge. Bathroom was also good. Nice pool outside.

The breakfast was very limited in options and got quite boring after a few days. Since the location is in a key area of the road it gets quite noisy at night. There are slight maintenance issues in the rooms where facilities are mouldy or in need of a “freshen up”.

The staff were very friendly and helpful with advice on tourist spots, especially Alma and Florencia who always greeted us with a smile, we were a group of 10 people who stayed for 2 weeks and the staff made the hotel feel like home. There was a balcony area which was perfect to relax in the evening times when the sun has gone down. Cleaners visited the rooms daily to sweep floors and make the bed however I noticed bedding and towels were changed weekly.

DO NOT BOOK THROUGH B00KlNG. I booked a two bed room in April with confirmed availability, and when I arrived to the property in June, apparently they gave away my room to someone else and I was only left with one double bed room. Also, too many stairs to go for breakfast, not recommended for the elderly.

Nice pool and breakfast. The room was comfortable. The AC worked perfectly. The mini fridge was a nice touch.

It is quite for from the bus station and the ferry (25-30 min) walk.

The staff (Alma) were extremely friendly. Breakfast was okay. The location is reasonably quiet for the Main Street.

The hotel is very old, the rooms are moldy, there is no soundproofing.

Very friendly and helpful staff, Alma at the reception was very nice and welcoming. Good Wi-Fi. Breakfast is served in a café a 10-minute walk away.

It’s showing signs of age and could use a little paint and some repairs but the rooms are clean. There are two pools of which one is very clean but the one that’s gets used a lot needs daily attention😳

Beds are very uncomfortable, rooms very hight up stairs, water pressure almost none, kitchenette missing stove and pots and pans to actually make food, very noisy due to location, overall this place is ok but needs more love (paint, new beds, new pillows etc)

The staff were nice, friendly and wanted to please us.It is the jewel of their place, their staff!

The best of this hotes is the location and price, the breakfast is included and is real good, the facilities are old and they need to improve cleaning.

I didn't love the idea of having to switch to a new hotel last minute. They were very nice about it and everything worked out. However, Beach Energy Hotel was in a relatively loud area with loud music throughout the night. Would recommend brining ear plugs.

Actually they last minute noticed that my room was being re-modelled and moved me to Beach Energy Hotel. The hotel was okay. It was centrally located, but did require me to be flexible in regard to where I was planning on staying.

The hotel is old, not like shown in the photos. The room was ok, not hot hot water, tv was broken, many other problems so I don’t recommend this place.
