Nothing the hotel was what we were looking for

We were just there to stay the night, so we didn't need anything more. People may want to watch out when you open the door, the stairs start immediately and the stairs are quite steep. But that was no problem at all; the building is just very characterful.

The couple that runs the place are very friendly. Breakfast was fine, friendly welcome, nice fresh bread, your choice of coffee served quickly, cosy breakfast room.

At night, the bells from the church rang (every 15 minutes a small ringing, every half an hour a little more, every hour a long melody), which is not far away. You can only sleep with earplugs.

Nice shower, clean , including tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom - room as described and the location was very central to Enkhuizen. Nice breakfast. Good wifi and friendly hosts.

All up to expectation. The staff packed us a "breakfast to go" A very much typical Dutch "boterham in het zakje", with an apple that had been stored to long. But the drinks with it were good.

The lighting in the room was very dim.

The owners were absolutely lovely and went out of their way to help and accommodate my needs (gluten and lactose free breakfast, a lower pillow, the train timetable - printed out no less - to Alkmaar, carrying my suitcase up to my room and back down when I left). Bed comfy, great water pressure in the shower, heating efficient, breakfast ample. They seem to be a very family friendly hotel, too. Lots of options for the kids.

The towels and soap were changed every day, though we would have been happy to continue using the same ones - not a problem, except for the environment.

This is a family-run hotel with a family atmosphere and we felt very relaxed and comfortable here. Our ground floor room was well equipped and had the bonus of some outdoor space with tables and chairs, which was very welcome in the hot weather. Breakfast was fine - everything we needed. It wasn't a problem that there was no dinner in the evening, as there are many nice restaurants on the harbours within a very short walk. It was lovely being in the old, pretty, quiet part of town and very close to the excellent Zuiderzee Museum; the town beach was a 15 minute walk and the town centre 10 minutes or less. Free parking wasn't a problem once our host had explained the options. Enkhuizen itself is lovely, and I would recommend going for an ice cream cone at 9pm next to the Drommedaris tower, as most people in the town seemed to do!

The price is a bit on the higher side.

The location is perfect. very close to the Zuiderzee museum. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Staff was very helpful. The breakfast was excellent, good variety and fresh buffet.

Can't think of anything I didn't like.

It was a very comfortable place to stay in. The room was cozy, it had a decent size, the bathroom was fine. We slept well there. The breakfast was very nice too. The personal was very nice and thoughtful. They put effort into seeing that you were welcome. I also liked that there was a commons minibar so there was more to chose from then one in a room, if you needed it. Also the halls had shelves with books and games if you wanted to stay in. But who'd want to do that, the old town was one of the cutest I've seen in Holland - Amazing

Currently they are renovating the hotel. We stayed in the new part with a lovely courtyard. The rooms are spacious & the bathroom is large. The shopping street is just around the corner & many lovely streets to walk through. Breakfast was included & very good. Great coffee!!! Parking wasn't a problem for us.

Owner was very hospitable and friendly. Location was awesome. Our room was very spacious and clean. A little outdated but met our needs fine.
