The room is above an Italian restaurant (which I recommend) so it's noisy until later. The inside walls are quite thin, so noisy neighbors may disturb your sleep. The bathroom smell of stale air, if the ventilation is not open, the water continues to drain outside the shower. The towels are not extraordinary. I recommend that you have ear plugs if you are a light sleeper and room slippers, the hotel provides only towels and shower gel.

The hotel is 5-10 minutes from the train station and the center. I had room 101, it was as expected (small but clean, the mattress on the bed was comfortable, the linen was clean, every day the staff come and clean the room), the bathroom is small, clean. The stair are OK :) At the entrance you will find various vouchers with discounts at various restaurants or activities in Amsterdam.

Stairs leading up to the reception are very steep. The windows are not double glazed. Building work was going on during our stay which woke me up around 7am. Inconsiderate hotel users were shouting in the reception area or stamping whilst using the stairs late at night or in the early hours of the morning. The hotel can be accessed by ANYONE to use the toilets or sit on a chair in the reception area. The room didn't have a kettle, however, on arrival we were not told that a kettle, microwave and a small fridge are available for use in the reception area. They also have ironing facilities.

The room was a nice surprise considering the slightly older reviews. We stayed in a twin room with a private bathroom. The bed linen was clean, clean towels and the bins are emptied everyday with a clean modern bathroom. Hand wash, body wash and shampoo was also in the bathroom. NO MOLD!!! The reception staff are very helpful. All modes of transport are accessible from here. Huge choice of cuisine on your doorstep and easy access to attractions. We were told to be on our guard for pick pockets.

Steep stairs. Overpriced. You can find cheaper options in the same area for that size of room. Don't expect much.

The only thing I like is the location of the hotel. Closed to the Amsterdam central train station.

Definitely the location, the hotel is right down the central station and red light district and there’s a supermarket in the corner.

The facility isn’t that bad for only two nights, small but enough for two people, was clean and tidy .The only thing that annoying us was a bad smell coming from the toilet sometimes.

The stairs are lethal, especially when wet and trying to carry luggage up and down. The room got very hot during the night.

The pillows felt like bricks of concrete. I needed a new spine by the end of the weekend. And I had to use a hoodie for a pillow by the second night. When you have the hangover from hell, a comfy pillow is well needed! However the mattress was really comfortable!

The shower was really good. After consuming what felt like all the rum in Amsterdam, the shower was a heavenly saviour.
