How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The heating was put on even though I asked specifically to put it off
Historical building, gorgeous, spacious rooms. Window of almost 4 meters high with a view on the city harbour. Great bathroom with a bath, the possibility to open windows on two sides of the room. Bathrobes were there, luxury feel to all of it. Very close to metro, supermarket and nice restaurants. Close to all the interesting things but also in a quiet area - perfect

The hotel is gorgeous, perfectly located, roomy, comfortable, quiet, and staffed by kind, conscientious, friendly individuals. We loved our stay here for so many reasons--we were given great information about the Netherlands, the tea was delicious, the bar had fantastic food & beverages--we ended up eating there both nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We are in another city now and we wish there was a Suitehotel Pincoffs here!

The location, steps away from the centrum but away from all the crowds, the view, the room design, comfortable bed, amazing rainforest shower (pressures and temperatures are 🫰🏽🫶🏾), the most of all the staffs. Amazing amazing amazing. I know my home away from home in Rotterdam now 💙

All good.
Very attentive and friendly staff. Beautiful building, rooms very luxuriously equipped. Great breakfast. Nice view of the Maas and Erasmusbrug. Ease to reach with watertaxi in front of the hotel and 6 min walk from metro.

No option to make tea in room (Or I could not find it) Airco was on when I arrived late, so must have been running for no reason the entire days since cleaning

It was perfect
The staff were incredibly helpful and allowed us to leave our luggage before check in as we got to Rotterdam early in the morning. The staff gave us advice on places to visit and how to get around the city. Nothing was too much trouble and every staff we spoke to, even housekeeping staff were friendly and approachable. The bed was very comfortable and we had the mezzanine room which gave us space to relax and watch TV too. The location was perfect and we were close to the tram and underground. The hotel is located near the river and there are some great views.

It was a hot building, room cooled sightly with Aircon, but the bar was always too warm.
Very friendly and attentive staff, large suite with excellent views.

Couldn’t pick a fault
Beautiful and interesting old building that has been expertly crafted into comfortable suites. We had a rooftop room which was amazing; spacious with lots of nice touches. Staff couldn’t do enough to help and the breakfast was fantastic. Our only regret was that we were only in Rotterdam for one night! Good location for the centre and the river.

Strategically located in the heart of Rotterdam, this family owned boutique hotel is a real gem. It was wonderfully refurbished with a great taste and effort but it has an interesting story as well, being the place where Mr. Pincoff had his office and his vault. The rooms are voluminous and very luxurious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Dank u!

The point for improvement, not criticism, is breakfast. The great desire to serve the customer is detrimental to fluidity, make it simpler and you'll reach your objective.
The team creates a very pleasant atmosphere, with a real desire to be friendly and helpful to customers. The setting is original, and the location makes it relatively easy to visit Rotterdam. I recommend it

What is there to not like about this place? It’s faultless.
Absolutely beautiful suite, super clean, staff were amazing and so friendly. Breakfast in the room was fabulous. We can’t wait to visit again.
