The location. You are a good 5 mins walk to tram then 15mins from tram to central station. Pool was closed. The barman was very grumpy!!

Sadly the pool was closed for refurb and the room shower was poor with little flow of water. The location was a bit out of town but transport was easy for the city centre.

Loved the room and the quirkiness of the hotel decor. Wonderful breakfasts too and lovely helpful staff. It was good to have lifts in the hotel which is rare in Amstedam hotels.

The neighborhood that you have to walk through to get to/from the Lelylaan Station from the hotel doesn't feel safe. I would have felt unsafe if I was alone or if it was dark. Once you are in close proximity to the hotel the surroundings look safe.

The beds were really comfortable, the room clean, the rooftop bar was very cool and the staff was exceptionally friendly. I would highly recommend the hotel.

No microwave was a bummer, but I sorta understand. King size bed sheets on bed did not quite fit the bed all the way around.

The front desk staff was more than accommodating and helpful. We needed things reheated, and they were able to use the facilities to warm it. The parks around are great! Even a small kids play area. Coffee and tea, plenty of hot water/pressure, and a giant tub in our room. The garden view was nice and 1st floor was convenient. Ubered out to the nearby airport, no problem. Nice feather pillows were great!

The only downside of the room was that the sink was in a different room from the toilet (toilet was separate, shower, tub and sink all in another room) This felt very unhygienic at the best of times. We let the cleaners come in once during our stay and they only made the bed and restocked coffee. They gave us no new towels, no new (and washed) coffee mugs and didn't even emptyy the bins.

The room was big and well equipped with a nice coffee pod machine and the shower was decent. The location had great access to trams about a 5-10min walk away

Some staff were aloof, but this was made up for by others who were charming, more dedicated and suited to customer service.

The fashion theme, artworks and interior design is quirky and adds interest. Location was great for me - I could walk to my place of study. Some of the staff were exceptional (especially Gilles). Terrific breakfast. Spacious stylish comfortable room with wonderful bath.

Our only disappointment was the fact the pool was shut for the duration of our stay. Given the rainy days during our stay, this was a particularly attractive feature when booking and it’s a shame we couldn’t use the facilities when the weather proved unfavourable.

Breakfast was very good and location was fine given regular tram connection. Having stayed in a number of hotels in Amsterdam, I was impressed with the room size, quality of sleep (no noise audible from the hall or neighbouring rooms) and thought the shower was excellent. The bar was fun and staff throughout were great and very customer service focused.

Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Separate toilet and wet room, which was very useful. Lovely thermal suite facilities. Most staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Food was lovely and we especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had lots of choice. Bike rental was very handy. Location is perfect

I didn't like the attitude of some of people who work there, starting with checking in & the people at the bar , smiling and being polite and respectful and nice it cost nothing is for free.

There aren't very many negative points. What we experienced this time: - it was difficult to control the heating in our room. Although we turned it up to the maximum to help dry our wet clothing from the rain when we first arrived (at around15:30), it didn't seem to kick in until the early morning hours when we were trying to sleep. - the cleanliness of the bathroom wasn't so great. I really hate finding hair and areas not wiped/cleaned very well on check-in. We didn't complain because we brought our own cleaning wipes. - The hotel is a business so I understand that it also arranges memberships for its swimming pool to people in the community but I really wish they would restrict times for this so that hotel guests can enjoy the pool without being in the way of people doing laps (it can feel crowded). Then guests can plan around designated these times. As mentioned, we were able to enjoy it for about an hour until it started getting busy so we were lucky this time.

We have stayed at WestCord Fashion hotel many times now. The positive points from our latest stay are: - location is great; on the outskirts of the city center but with direct tram lines that bring you there. The walk to the nearest bus / tram stop is approximately 10 minutes (with traffic light) for a person in decent shape. A walk to the nearest train station would probably take 15 minutes. - the staff are always friendly and welcoming and this time was no exception. The waitstaff at the restaurant were also very accommodating. - we ate dinner at the restaurant and the dishes were very good, if not a bit pricey. - we used the pool at the hotel and we always find it fantastic. It wasn't too busy when we went (sunday between 16-17hr but seemed to start getting busy at around 17hr when people who pay a fee to use it for laps showed up) - we didn't really hear any noise from our room on the 6th floor (away from elevators) except for when people were talking as they walked past in the hallway. Our room faced the highway but we couldn't hear anything unless we opened the window. - the breakfast was good; a decent selection of hot and cold foods. For vegans, note that the options can feel a bit limited so not sure it'd be worth paying the price for breakfast (21 euro) at the hotel. If it hadn't been included in our rate, we probably would have gone somewhere else for breakfast.
