    “This place was incredible! Penacova is THE most amazing little village, and the guesthouse we stayed in was incredible. Eduardo and his brother made us feel SO welcome, and we even had a huge functions kitchen to ourselves to cook our yummy dinner! They were so lovely and authentic! Please don't be put off by their struggle with wi-fi - just appreciate the surroundings - a true, authentic European village!”

    “Nice quiet location away from it all. Great little cafe with awesome coffee just a short walk. The host was lovely and very accommodating. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable, set amongst the vines. Also loved the bbq. Easy trip to Coimbra, and the river, plus some nice walks.”

    “Very friendly host. The room was clean and everything felt new. We enjoyed our stay and specifically loved the little balcony our room had with it's lovely view. The tiny refrigerator in our room was a great bonus. Note that each room does not have its own coffee machine. The coffee machine is located at the entrance to all the rooms and shared by all guests.”

    “Lovely old style pension. We had a large room with a small balcony and great views. Good location. But nothing is far away in Penacova. Good meal by the swimming pool and nice pastelaria close by for breakfast.”
