The room could be rather noisy at times. Leaving the balcony door open for ventilation resulted in increased traffic noise, especially in the morning. The hotel is also close to the airport and therefore the planes pass low and close by. Having said that it was not a major problem for us.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and the room was cleaned daily. The room was spacious and the bed large and comfortable. The hotel is in a good location for walking into the central area and port. There was a good selection available at breakfast which was tasty. There is an underground car park available at EUR4/day but when we visited there was plenty of parking outside, which is chargeable between 08:00 to 19:00.

My only problem was that unlike the in the description on booking.com, the parking was not free. The hotel has a parking place, but charges an extra fee for that. The other optionis to park on the street (plenty of space nearby) for the normal hourly fee.

The location is great and the hotel stuff is very friendly and nice. The hotel might be a bit old, but still nice.

There was no sign to indicate parking on the street in front of the hotel was a problem. I didn’t ask, but neither did the staff, and I ended up with a parking ticket. That was easily avoidable.

If we'd been staying longer, I'd have been sorry that the room didn't have much in the way of facilities, e.g. a fridge. As others have pointed out, the pictures of the hotel don't show that it definitely needs a repaint on the outside; there are better looking hotels on the same street. Taking this into account, it's expensive for what it is. We have stayed in much nicer places in Ponta Delgada at a similar price point.

We stayed here for one night before an early morning flight, and it was ideal for this since it's just a short taxi ride to the airport. My daughter really enjoyed the swimming pool and the close-up view of the 'planes taking off that you get from it! Could recommend for a single night stay.

For the price of this hotel they should provide the smallest of amenities such as toothpaste. They have a vending machine in the lobby to purchase a few necessities. It uses coins only.

The front desk was very helpful and prepared upon our arrival for our last minute booking due to our flight cancellation. Check in was very smooth and quick.

We had three rooms for a group of 7, so it was necessary to have three people in one of the rooms with extra bed. For some reason the extra bed was not provided in the largest room, but in one of the smaller ones. Would be easy to make us even more comfortable, but we were fine anyway (and we stayed just one nigh).

The pool area offers no shade at all and the number of deck chairs is too small.

The rooms are VERY comfortable: Good beds, armchairs, spacious, nice balcony overlooking the city, everything was clean and new. The swimming pool is large, Parking on the premises is excellent. (There is also plenty of public parking outside the hotel which is free between 19:00 and 8:00 am.) Staff very friendly and helpful. After check out we could use the pool, the very pleasant lobby, and the bar until we had to leave for the airport. The location of the hotel is very convenient: Five minutes by foot from the historic center of Ponta Delgada, but away from its narrow roads and very easy to reach by car from the airport.
