The staff was very friendly and in general we had a good time there. Due to low season there aren’t many people and no restaurant available at the property. They still made it able for us to get breakfast there.

“The facilities were clean and safe, the hot water worked well, and although there were some mosquitos and gnats at night, our bed had a huge mosquito net and we slept comfortably and well both nights. It is within walking distance to local restaurants, and about 5-10 min walking from the main bus stand. The view is very nice across the water, and it is a nice calm environment despite it being right next to a road.
They seemingly have unlimited amounts of food! We were treated extremely well by the housekeeping/grounds keeping staff/family. They are incredibly kind and friendly. They cooked us an incredible meal one night, all fresh, and allowed my partner who is a chef, to step into the kitchen and learn Sri Lankan cooking one on one. We were treated to fresh lime juice and coconut juice, as well as many cups of tea and coffee (served in a French press).
The room is clean, though the lighting is a bit dark, it goes along with how the house is an old colonial/Dutch style home so it wasn't a big deal. Wifi worked well. Towels were thick and crisp.”
