    “It was extremely difficult to find the property,as there was no street number assigned on the Booking.com reservation, we required the assistance of locals to find the location. Once arriving at the location, no one was in attendance, with the place absent of furniture and effects, when peering through windows or doors. The place looked like a construction zone, with the surrounding pavement and stairs having gaping holes everywhere which was a hazard which could have caused injury if one arrived in the dark and appeared devoid of furniture. When calling the number listed on the booking.com reservation, a woman answered and immediately hung up. We then tried this number several times with no answer. After calling out and trying to search for any residents - which we could not find, despite two empty wine glasses sitting on an outdoor table, we proceeded to ask the neighbours if we were at the correct address. And the neighbours we spoke to could speak English quite well, and stated we were at the correct address and that this is a common occurrence with this address, where visitors are left abandoned and made to find alternative accommodation. The neighbours stated that ‘Gypsies’ lived there, and have no idea how to run a business. Eventually we had to look for alternative accommodation, which we found at La Curtea Domneasea. The staff at La Curtea Domneasea also said that they have had many people seeking accommodation with them after booking reservations with Panaromic, only to be left stranded. For instance they recalled an instance only a couple of days ago, where a woman had booked and paid accommodation for three days with Panaromic had to seek alternative accommodation after arriving at 11 pm at night. When looking up Booking.com at Piatra Neamt the same evening, it appears that Panaromic now call themselves ‘Cazare 200 lei’ as the descriptor address are pictures are the same as when it was called ‘Panaromic’.”

    “We had a balcony overlooking the mountains and the resort. It was lovely! If you are an animal lover, you will be delighted by the local cats who turn up at breakfast on the terrace, are very sweet and gentle and even venture into your room. All kinds of birds were singing in the trees, we saw a hawk as well. And on the way to Poiana Brasov we saw deer out the train window. No bears encounters, but hey, maybe next time. :)”
