“My wife and I stayed several days having safaris in Ranthambore most days. It's on th outskirts of Sawai Madhopur so if you want to be going in to town you'll need to take a tuk tuk. But it's a lovely quiet area and we didn't really have much spare time in the day anyway.
We stayed in one of the tents. The tent wasn't new but perfectly ok. It had aircon and a toilet and shower. Nice comfy bed.
The staff were fantastic, breakfast, lunch and dinner were actually almost too much to eat. If I go again I'll probably just book breakfast andevening dinner. Food was great, mainly Indian vegetarian but with some chicken dishes too.
So we would get up early, have a cup of tea and some bisuits in our tent (we always have a travel kettle) and then go off for our safari. When we got back after morning safari we would have breakfast at the restaurant on site. A little later lunch, and then the afternoon safari. Ending with dinner in the evening.
The swimming pool was nice, pretty clean too, Western standards or thereabouts. We were perfectly happy using it. The garden area was beautiful - the gardener did a fantastic job. Although of course plants are seasonal so I expect it looks different at differnt times of the year. Loads of birds and butterflies visit the garden.
Best part was the owner Deepak and his brother. Really nice guys, both of them. We booked our safaris through the hotel, it's more expensive but at least you know it's right, (when you're a foreigner you find doing anything in India confusing!)
I paid for the safaris in advance (by Wise transfer - which I had never heard of before but it's what Deepak uses). That's because they have to pay the forest department up front for the safaris. The room (tent) however we paid for as we were leaving.
Thanks very much to Deepak and all for a great stay. I heartily recommend Ranthambore Nature Camp Resort.”
“By the time we came to stay at Anantvan ranthambore we had visited some of the major cities and were ready for something more relaxing and this wonderful place and crew did not disappoint. All the staff here are amazing, attentive, friendly and just all round wonderful people. Everything we could want was catered for, including remembering what we liked for breakfast and making sure it was there for us.
On the subject of food it is out standing and so much you can even take some to the room for a quick midnight snack, trust me you will want to.
The ground themselves are just idyllic. There is nature every where, from kingfishers (the birds and the beer) next to the relaxing pool, to quails chirping in the trees.
We stayed here as it was a good distance from tiger park which the hotel arranged the whole thing for us. We saw 3 tigers, out of this world. I would 100% come back again and this time not just for the tigers but for the amazing people and stay.
Thank you Anantvan Ranthambore”
“Wonderful property in Ranthambore with beautiful grounds, excellent restaurant and hearty breakfast. They were able to coordinate with my safari booking to ensure the gypsy would pick us up on time.”
