The only issue we faced in the room was the T regulation: thermostats were not connected correctly and therefore heaters were working full-power, making the room extremely hot ( definitely more than 22C)

Awesome historical building with incredible interiors and life music! Very helpful staff and concierge - answered all the questions and helped to organise museum visits. Awesome Shalyapin bar - the meal choice is not very big, but the quality is really great. Price/quality/service was on very good level

In the historical suite they could do some updates to make it more modern without losing its 19th century vibe. Still beautiful and well done.

The rooms were amazing. We had both an historical suite and a modern suite that was newly renovated with art deco designs. It was fun to have an experience of both.

Really not much to complain about: - the room either didn't have a hair dryer (unless I didn't find it) - the coffee was subpar, although breakfast was incredible

Metropol exceeded my expectations, a wonder in the heart of Moscow: - perfect location, close proximity to landmarks, best shopping stops - delicious breakfast near fountain - amazing views, depending on the room, but can vouch for the Historical Suits - accomodating and very friendly personnel catering to all your needs

Metropol is a one of the oldest and magnificent hotels in Moscow, with very good location, friendly staffs and amazing services with good money value. loved my stay as i extended even for more days in it

I chose this hotel when the first time I came to Moscow, that was my first impression of Moscow. This is my last time to Moscow and I still choose Metropol. Perfect location and atmosphere, friendly staff, clean and quiet room. Breakfast is a bit expensive, but really good enough! There is always a lady playing harp in the restaurant, and the restaurant is full of classical aristocratic atmosphere. In the evening there will be a player playing the piano in the hall. Although many parts of this hotel are being renovated now, I can still remember all the sights of the first time I came here. This is the last time I live in Moscow, but I will always remember the good memories here:)

once only i found the toilet was not cleaned well and the towel was dirty but still Metropol will be my first choice if i went Moscow again

The location of the hotel was amazing; it was in the center of the city and was close to the famous landmarks, restaurants, and malls. The staff was very polite, the check in and check out procedures were easy and simple, and the rooms were clean and spacious. This would definitely be my go-to hotel whenever I visit Moscow again.

Helpful staff, perfect location, nice and large corner room with a superb view on the Bolshoi Theater. Perfectly clean, nice amenities. Great breakfast buffet. Not the most modern hotel in Moscow obviously, but a great place to be, full of history and art.

My family was very pleased about the room upgrades. The newly renovated Metropol suites were spectacularly stunning, as well as the breakfast hall and lobby. I enjoyed listening to music from familiar songs played with different musical instruments such as piano and harp. The concierge was resourceful. The staff was entirely respectful and kind.

internet speed is slow, you have to open lobby door yourself, they don't have bell boy there all the time, which is strange for 5* hotel

The side entrances are always closed and the main entrance you have to pull the door and it’s heavy. I would suggest they make their entrances door automatic to make easier for guests. The room views are not nice as well.
