How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was relatively small and lacked any drawers or shelves. There was some hanging space. The lack of drawers & shelves made it impossible to unpack & we had to live out of our suitcases. The view wasn’t good, our room overlooked an internal concrete courtyard.
Modern & clean with a lovely roof terrace, including a pool. Our room was quiet & the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good with a huge choice. The only problem is there is insufficient seating for the number of guests, so you need to arrive early to secure a table.

NOT CLEAN. My back was itchy after staying the first night, didn't think it was the room but I discovered bed bug on my second night there. The bug then jumped to the carpet which I don't know if they clean thoroughly or not 🫣
Breakfast was good, the room has everything you need, comfy bed, attentive staff.

The room needs some restoration. Not the best value for the money.
The location is quite ok, not very far away from the metro stattion. The breakfast is really good.

Very poor breakfast . The room was just too small for 2 persons. Hardly any room to leave your belongings, no locker, no place for anything.

Bugs found crawling from the shower stall drain that had to be addressed 2x because they didn't send someone the first time I complained about it. Noise with people moving furnitures that woke us up in the early morning and we were unable to sleep after that. Staff of course was apologetic.
They had breakfast buffet with good food choices. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

The city view from the room was actually an internal view - this was particularly annoying as we had paid extra for city view. The breakfast had little "healty", i.e. fruit and other unprocessed plant based content.
The roof top swimming pool was great. The room on the top floor was good. The facilities in the room were good. The breakfast as a whole was good, particularly the coffee.

We felt the front desk staff were not very well versed in giving out information unless they were pushed. Also there seemed to be a lack of local knowledge.
Breakfast each day was wonderful, great selection for anyone staying there. The roof top pool was a lovely way to relax each evening. The rooms were serviced each day and were spotlessly clean.

I was a little disappointed with the breakfast. I have stayed here a couple of times and the breakfast was one of my favourites. But this time wasn’t so great. Not much variety. Perhaps it’s because it was during a weekday. Anyway, it wasn’t sooo bad. I just wished they had more varieties.
Perfect location. Quiet. Very near to shops, restaurants. Rooms super comfortable and clean.

Room cleanliness could have been better, discarded tooth flosser, dust on top shelf. Breakfast was chaotic Saturday and Sunday. Storage in the room very limited.
Nice hotel, lovely staff. Short walk to the bus stop.

Too costly - there are other hotels with similar facilities and better food in the vicinity. They don't serve food, only ready to eat stuff is available post breakfast hours.
Location is 5-7 min walking distance from Clarks Quay and 10min walking distance from Chinatown. Rooms are very small, only suitable for 2 adults and an infant (not kids). But clean and well maintained. Breakfast spread is limited, but reasonable. Rooftop infinity pool is quite good and there's a jacuzzi too.
