Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Pretty much everything: great location, attentive and friendly stuff, great cleaning service, modern design room in fresh condition. I found it a nice touch to provide not only espresso machine , but also electric kettle for us - tea drinkers, so your tea is not made in coffee machine and doesn't smell coffee, and free snacks and crackers waiting for you next to espresso machine. Even generous checkout at noon after staying out till 4am was just what we needed. I travel a lot and see services tend to shrink and cut corners. And was so happy to see place that still maintains high level of it, without having to apologize for this and for that.

The property was well kept with extremely friendly staff. We were upgraded upon arrival as our original room was having renovations. I believe the owner/manager stopped to talk to us before leaving and informed us they were doing continued works to improve the already fantastic hotel including an outdoors area.

Everything about this hotel was perfect, room was a high standard, spacious and comfortable with an amazing view of the Empire State Building. Location felt really safe, subway is on next street and was really convenient for getting around. Also easy walking distance to many areas including Penn station for the journey from and to the airport. Lots of food and drink options on your doorstep too. I would definitely stay here again.

United StatesThe first night we had no hot water. We called down to the front desk and someone from maintenance arrived within 5 minutes, fixed the problem and we never had an issue after that.
Excellent location - so close to the subway station, shopping and restaurants. Very comfortable room - we had 2 full beds in a renovated room. Complimentary snacks upon arrival and bottled water daily.

The hotel was excellent. Comfortable. Great location. Clean. And some really lovely details that you don’t find in other is hotels. Like the welcome snacks and the coffee tea. Newly refurbished. Felt very yo to date and fresh. Above all the staff were exceptional. Friendly. Went out if their way always to help. Christian on the front desk was very helpful and organised to have our room changed on the second day so we had a view of the Empire State Building. Which made it a very special and memorable stay. The concierge staff both during the day and evening were also extremely helpful with directions to different attractions and taking charge of our luggage after we had checked our. Also gave very valuable advice about the yellow cab for jfk and timings to leave for the airport. Thanks so much to all the staff for making this a very special stay.

United StatesI was a bit put off that we received a daily ‘extra person’ charge for my 16 year old daughter. I booked a suite with a king bed and queen sleeper for my sister, my daughter, and I. I assumed I put ‘3’ when booking, but I was told at check in that there was an additional $30/night charge for my daughter. I was not pleased about this and had I known beforehand, j would have likely chosen a different hotel. I travel often to the city with daughter and my mom or sister and we have never experienced this anywhere else. Elevators are also VERY slow.
Hotel was exceptionally clean. We appreciated the cleanliness and complimentary, daily bottles of water. Housekeeping was friendly and efficient. Doormen and front desk staff were helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The location is centrally accessible to most popular parts of the city via subway or rideshares.

Was in the centre of Manhattan and everywhere was near we wanted to be. The room we had was overlooking the Empire State and was large and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was large and the shower was very good. Sheets and towels were changed regularly and the reception staff were extremely helpful, friendly and very informative. Overall our stay was perfect and we will definitely return to stay again.

United KingdomBird machine noise outside - there was some kind of bird mimicking machine that was very loud right outside our window. It’s on Broadway so the street is pretty noisy all night, but luckily we packed earplugs.
Great location. Comfortable bed. Newly refurbished room with modern bathroom and view of Empire State Building from the window. Was close to 28th street station and a direct train to Barclays Centre for March Madness basketball games, which was the purpose of our visit to NYC.
