How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The mattress of the bed was too soft for my back, but I guess it depends on one's taste. For sure there will be people who like it. It is a bit pricey for what it offers, but again that happens with every hotel in NYC and the US. If one takes only into account NYC hotel standards, then Bryan Park is definitely above all the other similar hotels in the city.
The location is superb and super clean. And the staff is outstanding. A special thanks to John at the front desk, he was super kind, patient and cheerful. This kind of staff makes a difference for the guest, it elevates any stay. The hotel itself is quite good, especially according to NYC standards. It is being renovated and the already renovated rooms are great. Hope to stay there again soon.

We liked everything and hope to return many more times.
Having Bryant Park literally right outside the front door was amazing as were the views of the park from our room. The staff were absolutely the most welcoming, friendly and accommodating people we have ever encountered! They made us feel like family and we really appreciated the time and attention they gave our family, especially my 7 year old granddaughter who was treated like royalty!

Morning coffee could start earlier and include hot water. The additional free muffins are not really necessary, it creates some chaos with the guests who fill bags of them for their entire family.
Lovely hotel, we have stayed here often. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. Location is amazing. Room size is good. Perfect wifi and amenities.

No option to make coffee in the room
Great location, beautiful modern room and big size to New York. Very clean and pleasant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Coffee and muffins every morning was nice. Comfortable bed and nice textile.

Amazing front desk staff makes check-in and check out a breeze. Spacious and comfortable rooms. No wait for the elevator. Great location across from Bryant Park. Easy walk to Theatre district, Hell's Kitchen, and Times Square.

Wonderful hotel, located just at the entrance of Bryant Park, 5 min. away from Times Square, but on the quiet side of the area. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable and staff is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for any visit to NYC

It’s well past time to remove the scaffolding

The Bryan Park Hotel is in the heart of the city. Easy to reach, very comfortable and positioned in the centre of the Mid Town. We love spending time there to go around and visit the city.

I kind of wish the beds were more comfier and a little higher. Also, I think the privacy button needs to be a little more eye catching- didn’t know about it until the second day and was not prepared for housekeeping lol
Loved the location and how bright and airy the rooms were. The staff were warm and welcoming the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Really appreciated Ray and Jo for taking care of us first thing! Super nice people :)

The staff was so incredibly wonderful from the first moment we arrived until our departure. We were celebrating the 25th year of coming to NYC for a weekend with another couple. They mAde our weekend so special. We plan to stay at the Bryant Hotel each year for the next 25 years!!

We can’t really think of anything to suggest.
The entire staff is excellent and made us feel so welcome. We really felt like they made us feel special in choosing to stay there for our anniversary. John especially is outstanding, he helped me make some reservations, helped with transportation and suggested tours and places to see, really went out of his way to assist and made this a special stay!! The room and amenities were really great!
