Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

New ZealandThe lifts are a nightmare. During our stay, one lift was out for the majority of the time. I waited 7 times before I could get into a lift that wasn't crowed to bursting point.
The location is superb for exploring NYC. The room is comfortable, had a slight issue with the plug in the hand basin, but this was quickly fixed by Engineering. Breakfast is very good, you have to pick your time though if you don't want to brave the hoards between 0730 - 0900

IsraelElevator gets busy. They only clean rooms every two days.
Very friendly and helpful stuff, checking in was automatic and they let us do it a bit earlier. Room has a lot of equipment, full fridge, stoves, plates, dishwasher, beds are comfortable and AC and heat work great. Breakfast has many options and they constantly replenish.

ArgentinaThe view of the room. The waiting for the elevators was chaotic. Lucky for us, that wasn't a problem because we were on the sixth floor. For us, the breakfast wasn't good.
The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly and after 6 pm they gave a cocktail and snack. They let us leave the luggage. Good location if you want to be near Times Square.

United StatesThere is no early check-in, not even if you arrive just 30 minutes before check-in starts. The elevator is also slow and you might have to wait more than 5 minutes for an elevator. Also, the sheets seemed clean but if you pull those up, the mattress protector was covered in hair and that was really gross.
The location was convenient to the subway and our room had views of the Empire State Building. The breakfast was free and had a wide variety of options that changed every morning.

BrazilEverything in the hotel was very satisfactory, except for the cleaning ladies. Maybe not even their fault, but the number of times the doors slammed very loudly, while they were doing their job. Both the doors to the cleaning materials room, as well as the stairway door and the door to the rooms being cleaned. These doors need adjustment, as I tested the one in my room and it closed smoothly, without noise. This was what bothered me a lot during my stay. I also suggest checking the alarm clock next to the bed, which woke me up at 6:00 AM without me programming it.
The room was impeccably clean, as were the bed and bath linen. The kitchen utensils are all ok. The window's noise sealing was very good. The friendliness and attention of the entire team always pleases me. I had no problems with the elevators, no long waits. The availability of water and coffee at all times is always a plus. Happy hours, snacks and wine, from munday to thursday was nice.

SingaporeThis hotel comes with a self service laundry and a well equipped gym. Location is great, just next to port authority bus terminal. Its about 7 mins walk to Time Square Hard Rock Cafe. Breakfast was great especially the yoghurt and food.
